1) A student displaying COVID-19 symptoms is excused from class and taken to an isolation area by the COVID-19 Point of Contact until transportation can take the student home or for emergency care. 2) The COVID-19 POC notifies parents and the local health unit of the ill student. 3) If the student tests positive for COVID-19, exposed areas are closed for cleaning and disinfection. Close contacts are notified to quarantine for 14 days.
