#2
These two courses are ones I feel are vital in early childhood education and ones I
personally have taken at the University of Wyoming and would recommend for people
working with families, children or wanting to improve their professionalism.
Within working in an early childhood education, I think one should be familiar and
always improving their professionalism and having the ability to research within their
field of study, work and constantly stay up to date on new research.
4118. Family Policy. Explores the relationships between family functioning and
public/ private policies. The roles of family professionals in advocacy and education
regarding policies will be discussed. Attention will be paid to the policy process at
the state level.
Within working in an early childhood education, I think one should be familiar with
family policies/laws. Many of us work in this field and don’t know the actual laws and
we need to know them so we know where we stand as professionals and working with
families and the work place.
