ACTIVITY 1

2. Ask your parents or grandparents about the origin of the practice, including the province, city, or district.
3. Describe the practice and use visuals to present the practice. Include the following:

 Province/District
 Description of the element of the culture-the rationale for it, the background of the element, etc.
 Changes that have happened to it since your grandparents' time
 Explanation as to why it was changed
 Your reaction as a tourism professional if you have a colleague or customer who either accepts or does not
accept it

4. Share with your group mates your answers to the following:

Answer: FRONT OFFICE: we know that front office department is the source of all the information

Answer: yes, definitely it can be replaced by any artificial intelligence or any computer system, because
the all operation and transaction is being program by using the technology or (AI).

Answer: I think by means of events activities holiday season leisure, vacation stuff like that could actually

 Using markers, plot where the members of your family, including maternal and paternal relatives to the 3rd
generation are based. (1st generation-you, 2nd generation - parents and siblings of parents, 3rd generation -

Case 2: Is Personal Hygiene Important?

 Write a 250-word essay on the Importance of Personal Hygiene the Tourism Enterprise.
ANSWER: Personal hygiene is really important not just in the tourism enterprise but basically
anywhere, as of in the tourism enterprise technically customers today are increasingly informed,
conscious, and vocal about hygiene standards and the effects on their health. Combined with travel
reviewers and the increasing number of rating sites, hygiene standard are having significant impact
to the tourism enterprise. While hygiene is not often spotlight when manage well, it quickly
becomes a central of focus when manage poorly. With high levels of traffic and turnaround
throughout the year , it is an everyday challenge tourism enterprise to maintain the highest level of
standards across large and varied premises.Good hygiene is vital to create the environment that
leaves guests feeling satisfied and pampered.

capabilities? Why or why not?
Answer: for my opinion its yes every individual’s circumstances could actually affect person’s work
that either result for a challenge or creates opportunities, for those lower capabilities they can actually
feel that it’s a challenge but for those persons with capabilities that are able to deal on that
circumstances and create something good then its opportunities. For me it depends upon a person and
kind of circumstances because there are circumstance if he or she could be affected by that kind of
circumstances or not because at the end of the day only as individuals are actually can say that.

Answer: for my opinion about this I preferred to be Glocal because for me I want to try what the other
diverse culture and try to experience of it, for me also to get understand about the different cultures and of
course but at the same share what’s the culture we have in local it’s just like sharing information about
their diverse background.

 Reflect on what you have learned in these lessons. Write your insights and opinions about this lesson.
Answer: for this lesson I’ve learned about the benefits of a diverse workforce having diversity in the work
force that transport the business into more effective and successful global company, and create of equal
opportunities for all. Having a multilingual staff can actually help especially in the case of the cruise line
business through translating different kind of languages. Allowing people of all faiths into workforce will
strengthen and enhance respect for each other, meaning that diverse work force can actually create
understanding others faiths. Allowing people with disabilities to contribute their skills in workforce this
involves the equality of employment of diverse employee. And last diverse workforce can actually open
doors to the LGBTQ community for non- discriminatory values and for the acceptance of part of the
LGBTQ community.
