Historical source 4. It is an object from the past or testimony concerning the past on

There are three important concepts in the definition.

Tertiary source 6. It provides third hand information by reporting ideas and details
from secondary source.

Historical Criticism 7. It seeks greater understanding of the texts by analyzing the


historical and social contexts in which they developed.

Written sources 8. These are written or printed materials that have been produced in
one form or another sometime in the past.

Oral statement 9. It includes any form of statement made orally by an eyewitness. It


maybe through video recordings, audio recordings, or transcribed.

Travelogue 10. A movie, book, or illustrated lecture about the places visited and
experiences encountered by a traveler.

● The fifth test of authenticity is the provenance or custody of the
document.
