ANALYZE

Analyze the routines set by the Resource Teacher by answering the following questions.
1. Were the routines effective in ensuring discipline and order in the class? Why? Why not?

Since there is no face-to-face classes , my observation is based on the distribution and retrieval
of modules of the students since the school is adopting Modular Learning, Hence, routines can’t be
applied in the class however, I can say that the routines on making the learners submit their modules on
time, is an effective and will ensure discipline for them to be on time and be responsible enough to
return modules with complete answers.

2. Which of those routines were systematic and consistently implemented? Explain your answer.

For now, systematically, the distribution and retrieval is consistently implemented which
learners submitting their projects and collection of materials.

REFLECT

Reflect on the various routines observed.

1. Which of the routines will you most likely apply in your class? Why? Why not?
I would most likely to apply in my class the routine of asking questions during the lesson.
By asking learners, I can identify and determine if they have any confusion so I can clarify and
confirm that there’s learning in our class. We need to exchange ideas to ensure that they are
open to express their ideas and so we can learn from each other.

Teachers will be more involved at school, better informed about what their learners are
learning in class, and more capable of supporting them learning if they have good two-way
communication.. Two-way communication fosters a more democratic environment in which
teacher and student can share their thoughts, ideas, and opinions regardless of their position in
the company, and improve relationships throughout the class. To solve problems more
effectively, effective two-way communication is required.

Activity 6.2 Listing Down Classroom Rules
Resource Teacher :Miguela Mae L. Cavite Teacher’s Signature: School: Inopacan NHS
Grade/Year Level :11 Subject Area : Physical Education Date: 10/14/2021

OBSERVE

Observe a class and list down the classroom rules formulated by the Resource Teacher. Cite the
importance of these rules.

Classroom rules are imperative ad must be reinforced for learners’ safety and security. Rules also teach
discipline and self-control. Rules eliminate stress and will provide more pleasant, secured and non-threatening
environment. Rules ensure the students’ engagement and focus in their classroom activities.

Classroom Rules Importance

1.Submit modules on time To make learners more responsible
2.Have each module a complete answer Discipline learners that everything matters
3. Return kits neatly Maintain cleanliness
4.Reach out to the teacher for any clarifications To ensure that teacher follows up and provide
assistance to learner’s confusion
5.Wear proper face mask upon getting the module For everyone’s safety

ANALYZE

1. Analyze each given rule. What circumstances led to the formulation of the rule?

Due to pandemic, Ms. Miguela have these rules which are timely .These rules are just
and necessary especially we are have protocols to follow for safety measures and learning is
through modules. They can only reach out to their teachers through online communication or
text/call.
2. Are classroom rules really important?

Absolutely! Classroom rules are established to teach students how to act in a proper and
safe manner in the classroom, thereby improving student learning. In school, every minute
counts. Everything will be in disarray if the students do not have any rules to follow. This could
lead to students inflicting physical and mental harm on one another. Furthermore, students will
not be taught how to behave properly in society as they grow older.

Learning Episode 6: Classroom Management and Classroom Routines 5|Page

REFLECT

Reflect on the various classroom rules set by the Resource Teacher. Will you have the same rules? If
not, what rules are you going to employ? Explain your answer.

Rules are necessary in every classroom. Rules are the foundation of a well-managed
classroom, and establishing them necessitates thought and planning on the part of the teacher.
Students should be discouraged from misbehaving in the classroom by behavioral rules that are
relevant and meaningful. The primary goal of establishing classroom rules is to eliminate and
avoid all distractions and potential misbehavior that obstructs learning. The goal is to create a
positive and conducive learning environment, and classroom management is critical to
accomplishing this.

I will undoubtedly apply the same rules to my class, especially now that we are in the
new normal. However, I would most likely add some additional rules, such as obtaining
permission or notifying the teacher a day before retrieval of modules that you are unable to
submit it due to valid reasons. Because we are using modular learning, absences are calculated
based on how many times a learner has failed to submit his or her module. It is critical for me to
understand the reasons for consideration so that the grade for attendance or the learner's record
is not impacted.

Students learn to be responsible as a result of the existence of rules and their

implementation. Everyone learns to know their limits and to take responsibility for their actions
or inactions when they follow the rules. Knowing that everyone is aware of the consequences of
their actions, both positive and negative, is reassuring.

SHOW Your Learning Artifacts

Take some snapshots of the classroom routines employed by the Resource Teacher which are worth
emulating. Tell something about the pictures.

Figure 1. A screenshot from the Group chat of Filipino students wherein the teacher asked them how they are
doing with their modules and if everything is alright to make sure that there is no confusion and if there is, it
will be acknowledged immediately. On the right photo, the teacher delivered the module in the barangay she is
assigned ,which we can see the one of the rules which is to wear face mask properly for safety measures.
Furthemore, as one of the rules, the learner must return and get new module on time which absolutely what the
picture is showing. The student return her module during the distribution and retrieval day which means she
did it on time.
