Brigada Eskwela 2021 differs from previous years' festivities, focusing instead on
preparations and enhancing partnership involvement to guarantee that quality education
continues despite the challenges provided by the pandemic, which has left a mark not only in
the country but throughout the world.
San Juan High School with the leadership of the dynamic principal, Mrs. Eden I.
Bobis, has initiated the implementation of the new normal in this year’s Brigada Eskwela
2020 together with the collaborative efforts of the Brigada Coordinator and Technical
Working Committee.
Knowing that the environment has a significant impact on students' learning is one of
Brigada Eskwela's main motivators.
Schools and classrooms that are not favorable to learning, as well as facilities that are not con
ducive to learning, reduce the quality of learning that students get.
So, one of the best things that San Juan High School is proud of every year is the Dep
Ed's idea to have a spirit of volunteerism, or Bayanihana as we Filipinos call it, to clean up an
d restore the school and its facilities before the start of classes.
Due to the pandemic, Brigada Eskwela's activities were restructured to meet the
problems given by COVID 19. The Brigada Eskwela working committee was formed in
_________, but due to the possibility of a pandemic, Brigada activities were put on hold. On
______________, the Department of Education (DepEd) amended the guidelines and
developed BE and OBE initiatives to aid in the preparation of the upcoming school year. The
technical working group was formed through a virtual meeting and the plan of action was
implemented.
During the planning process, a letter of invitation was written, and then potential
partners were identified. Infomercials on social media were produced to further promote and
scout for stakeholders, and meetings and engagements with stakeholders and partners were
intensified.
Promotional and advocacy efforts were uploaded to social media channels. Througho
ut the campaign, an overwhelmingly positive outcome was reached.
Stakeholders who expressed interest in participating in the campaign were asked to gi
ve thermal scanners, hand sanitizers, face masks, face shields, disinfection chemicals, persona
l protective equipment, and other items needed to combat the virus's threat.
Grateful enough to our generous stakeholders/ donors for their invaluable service and
effort throughout the implementation of Brigada 2021.
Aside from making sure that the school will still be convenient for learners comes
face-to-face, Brigada Eswkela 2021 focuses more on teaching young kids to read. San Juan
High School, together with the volunteers, intensified the Brigada sa Pagbasa Campaign,
which aims to alleviate non-readers among San Juaneno.
In this trying time, we must work together to realize the Department of Education's vi
sion and goal. We are one in transpiring every learner's dream a reality. San Juan High
School is truly beyon grateful to all the people behind the success of Brigada Eswkela 2021.
