Ans. The Lilliputians were able to tie up Gulliver because he had been sleeping for

several hours.

(b) List the things in the passage that prove that Lilliputians were very small.

Ans. The following things prove that Lilliputians were very small:

i. Hundreds of them could climb over Gulliver.

ii. Some got hurt when they jumped off his body.

iii. Their arrows were the size of needles.

iv. They built an eighteen inch high platform.
