Project Name:

eForum (Online Forum System) – ASP.Net (C#) + SQL Server.

Abstract:

The popularity of internet and increase in use of internet, there is lots of scope in
online bulletin board system which known as form. Proposed eForum is a web based forum
which allows user to create subject, topics, post their message.

eForum version 1.0, one of the best web based bulletin board systems ever
developed. A complete board system (forum) that allows the user access to a friendly and
intuitive interface online. It offer complete web based forum administration

Advantages

Complete web based administration, Unlimited Forums and post. Forget Password –
Password will be send to member directly to his or her email id. The posting page has
several features, such as: use of smiles, formatting options like bold, italics, underline, font
colour. Auto-insertion of the Forum Code around the selected text. Unanswered Topics – All
unanswered topics are displayed in the forum home page. Member can view the
unanswered topics easily.

Project Scope:

 Web based bulletin board (forum) system: eForum offer complete web based
administration like Complete web based administration, Unlimited Forums,
Unlimited moderators, Locking/UnLocking/Deleting of Categories, Forums, Topics
and Members by Moderators and/or Admins, Registration functions,
Enable/Disable Registration, Restricted/Open Registration, Email Validation
functions.

 Web based bulletin board (forum) system: Web based bulletin board (forum)
system is used to register new member, display topics and post. Allow to create new
topics, post message, reply post

Modules:

Forum Home Page, Login Page, Member Registration, My Account, Change Password, Post
Page, Reply Page, Search Member, Member List, Member Details, My Post, Admin Page, etc.
Software Requirements:

 ASP.Net, C#
 Visual Studio 2005 / 2008 / 2010 / 2012
 SQL Server 2005 /2008

Hardware Requirements:

Processor: Preferably 3.0 GHz or Greater.

RAM : 1 GB or Greater.

Limitations of the Software:

This project was developed to fulfill user and business requirement; however there is
lots of scope to improve the performance of the Online Forum System in the area of user
interface, database performance, and query processing time. Etc.

Future Enhancements:

 Support more BB code for reply formatting.


 Social plug-in, auto login with facebook, Google account.
