Ok friends, let me tell you a story about Inspector Jones and Miss
Green. Inspector Jones is a detective. He lives near a library.
Inspector Jones is in the library now and he is talking to Miss
Green. Miss Green is the librarian.
And then Inspector Jones asks. “Good, what is it?” Miss Green
answers. “It‟s a detective story.” Inspector Jones says again.
“Good, I like detective stories. What‟s the murderer‟s name?” Miss
Green answers. “I can‟t tell you that, inspector. I am a librarian. I
am not a detective.”

4. Adverb of Frequency
For example: Mr. Darwis always teaches us how to learn
English alone. We usually follow what he suggests.
5. Adverbs of Purpose
I was sick, thus didn‟t go to work today. Because I didn‟t
go to work, I couldn‟t meet my boss.

book and his wife, Mary, is in the kitchen. She is cooking. Mr. and
Mrs. Wilkins have a baby. It is a baby son. But the baby is not with
them. Mrs. Wilkins asks her husband. “Is the baby with you, John?
He‟s not in the kitchen.” Mr. Wilkins answers. “No, Mary. He isn‟t
here, he‟s upstairs.” Mrs. Wilkins is worried (cemas). She says to
her husband. “Please go and see, John. He is very quiet.” Mr.
