Course Description:

This describes the coverage of the course of the Main objectives of the contract
law and labour law which includes the formation of the contract, the validity of the
contract, the performance of the contract, the termination of the contract, after effect of
the termination of the contract, the law relating to the Sale of Goods Act, the concept and
the implementation of the corporate social responsibility, the law regarding partnership,
the law relating to agency, the law of negotiable instrument, the law of company, law of
Bankruptcy and including provisions of labour law etc.

At the end of the course, the students will be able to:

After doing the course the students will be able to understand how they will make any
contract with some other professional person and with some other organization validly,
they will be able to know the proper court forum regarding the civil disputes, they will be
able to know how they will make the partnership agreement validly under the proper
guidance of the government, they will be able to understand there daily life business
procedure according to the existing business law of the Bangladesh, they will be able to
know practically how someone can create and company and how the company will run,
they will be able to know the impact of the law on our business and can control the rules
and regulation for the worker.

Course Requirements

These are the things need to be accomplished by the students at the end of the term
such as: submission of term paper, topic presentation and other related tasks or
assignments given by the teacher. Therefore Class attendance and participation carry
marks so all are advised to present in the class otherwise they will not able to understand
the topics we have discussed.

Teaching Method
Students will be expected to assume responsibility of their own learning. Students will
experience much difficulty in this course if they do not keep up right from the beginning.
The extent of their knowledge at the end of the course will depend on the effort they put
into the course. Students will be provided with a study guide which contains guidelines
and exercise questions according to which they must prepare for lectures.
The course will start with a discussion of the theoretical aspects of statute. Thereafter,
case law and excerpts from statutes will serve as the basis for discussing various trends of
business law. Lectures during which the case law and statutory examples are discussed
will be interactive classes and students will be expected to participate in discussions on
the application of legal methods.
Students will be required to prepare typed assignments for particular tutorial. Tutorials
are discussion classes where the students can assess their understanding of the prescribed
case law and the application of the different methods of applying law. The tutor will meet
with the lecturer before each tutorial for an in-depth discussion of the tutorial work in
order to ensure that students receive sufficient guidance in the preparation of assignment.
