An Inconvenient Truth
An Inconvenient Truth
This movie makes Al Gore the transmitter of a message that many people refuse even
to hear and understand. Al Gore, by citing Upton Sinclair argues that it isn't possible to
make someone understand something when his salary depends on the fact do not
understand that.
During his government, Al Gore supported environmental policies. And since losing the
presidential elections of 2000 to George W. Bush, Al Gore is committed to fighting for
the environment.
Al Gore too breaks the false myth of mutual exclusivity between economic efficiency
and preservation of the planet. For example, manufacturers of American cars are
currently losing money, since the fact that their cars do not respect environmental
standards that can hardly be sold in other countries, including China. The refusal to
associate certain human behaviors / clear the economic impact is related to
environmental checks which many experts receive from big oil.
The truth is inconvenient, especially the "great Lords". But in the graphic simulation of
the effects of melt half of Greenland, submerging much of the coast area of several
continents ( including Shanghai, Calcutta, Manhattan), we realized that movies like
"The Day After Tomorrow" are not purely fictional, especially when one considers the
high concentration of population in these areas.
