Formulary, Degreaser Formulations

Heavy Duty Degreaser (High Foam) DEG-16

DeTERIC CP-Na-38 provides emulsification, detergency, and wetting properties to this


degreaser formulation.

Ingredient % by Weight Function

1. DI water 72.0 Diluent


2. TKPP 4.0 Alkalinity
3. SMS·5 H2O 3.0 Alkalinity
4. KOH (45%) 10.0 Alkalinity
5. DeTERIC CP-Na-38 5.0 Detergency, Wetting
6. Dowanol PnB* 3.0 Solvent

*Product of Dow Chemical.

Procedure

Add each ingredient in the order listed above, solubilizing each before addition of the next. Mix
until homogenous.

Usage Level

Use ‘as-is’ or dilute as desired.

Product Properties

Appearance: Clear, almost colorless liquid.
