SETTING

GOOGLE CHROME
PROFILE
To conduct your e-Tutorial via Google Meet
(GM), you are required to use your OUM email
account in Google Chrome browser.
Therefore, you need to configure your OUM
profile in Google Chrome for easy login. Use this
profile EVERY time you login at OUM portal.

If you have a personal Gmail account and it is set

as the default in your Google Chrome, it will give
you problems to log into GM and conduct your e-
Tutorial properly.

This Guide will show you the difference between

personal Gmail and OUM email accounts; and
how to set your OUM profile in Google Chrome.
This is an example of Chrome’s
personal Gmail account – set
as the profile.

Here is another account – the OUM

account.
If you do not have the OUM
profile in your Google Chrome
browser, click on the profile
icon to get this menu.

and click Add to add the OUM

profile.
To differentiate your personal
Gmail and OUM account, it is
best to NAME your OUM
account as OUM.

Click Add.
Click Sign in.
Type in your
email.
If you get this login
box, type your OUM
username and
password.

Click Login.
If you get this page,
click Continue.
Click Link data.
Click Yes, I’m in.
Now you have your OUM profile in
Google Chrome.
Be aware of which Gmail account you
are using when accessing the OUM
portal.
ACCESSING OUM PORTAL

(as shown in earlier).
And when you login, you are
still in your personal Gmail
account.
Although you managed to
access myVLE/myOUM, but
you are still in your personal
Gmail account profile.

This will create problem in

accessing your Google Meet
later.
Then you open the Timetable
and click the GM link, but you
are still in your personal
Gmail account.
Since you accessed the GM
link using your personal Gmail
account, you will see this at
the GM login screen.

The green button will say Ask

way, you will NOT be able to
record your e-Tutorial
session because the record
button is not available in
your personal Gmail account.
To ensure you access the OUM portal and
Google Meet correctly, change your Chrome
profile to your OUM account.

Click here to change to OUM account.

Now you are in your OUM account.

Which means you are now able to access the

GM link correctly and will not have any
trouble recording the session.
