Assignment#2

This document contains two mathematics questions. Question 1 asks the examinee to: 1) Find the number of ways to select 3 people from a group of 5 men and 7 women depending on their gender. 2) Calculate the number of ways a committee of 7 can be formed from 8 parents, 5 teachers, and a principal depending on the make-up of the committee. Question 2 asks the examinee to: 1) Calculate the probability of unions and intersections of events. 2) Construct a tree diagram and use it to calculate conditional probabilities related to the probability of rain and flooding on a given day.
