them to be hidden from view.

Step 3: Security Validation

You will be prompted to receive a one-time security code.

Click ‘Continue with Security Code.’

9 Rev 9/20
Select a phone number or mobile device where you can receive the one-time security code.

Click ‘Continue.’

TIP: If your Login ID has not been entered correctly, the phone numbers shown will be incorrect. Try
entering your Login ID again, being very careful to enter it exactly as specified. Remember, the
Login ID is case sensitive.

After carefully re-entering your Login ID, if you still do not see a current phone number you can
use, please click on the link ‘My phone number is not listed.’

The following screen will appear. Security validation cannot be completed until you contact us to
update your phone numbers.

10 Rev 9/20
Once you tell us how to reach you, you will receive a phone call from (800) 257-8316 or a text message,
depending on your selection.

When prompted, enter the one-time security code you received.

Once the call is completed, click ‘Phone Call Completed.’

Step 4: Sign In
Enter your password and click ‘Sign In.’

11 Rev 9/20
If this is your initial login, you will be required to create a new password. Enter your new password and
confirm it in the fields provided.

Click ‘Submit’ to continue.

TIP: To save time creating your new password, pay careful attention to the password requirements.

Step 5: Acknowledge the Electronic Banking Service Agreement

Click ‘Continue’ to proceed to the Electronic Banking Service Agreement and Disclosure.

12 Rev 9/20
You must acknowledge the Electronic Banking Agreement by clicking on the link.

A new window will pop up containing the agreement. You must read and scroll through the entire
agreement before proceeding.

Once you have read and scrolled through the agreement, close the tab to return to the screen below.

Click the checkbox stating that you have read and agree to the terms of the Electronic Banking
Agreement.

Click ‘Submit’ to continue to your online banking homepage.

Welcome to your Personal Online Banking homepage.

TIP: If you also have business accounts with American Bank, you will need to register for Business
Online Banking separately to have online access to those accounts.

13 Rev 9/20
Step 6: Set Up Services
Personal Online Banking offers many services including internal transfers, external transfers, electronic
statements, personal finance management, loan payments, Bill Payment and more. Follow the
instructions below for each of the services you would like to use.

Online Statements
The default statement delivery method is paper. If you did not set up online statements when you
enrolled in online banking and wish to do so at a later date, you will need to change your statement
delivery method from paper to online: click on ‘More’ in the top navigation bar, then ‘Customer
Service’ > ‘Document Delivery.’

Read and agree to the Electronic Banking Agreement, check the box indicating that you have read and
agreed to the terms, then click ‘Submit.’

14 Rev 9/20
All eligible accounts will be updated to the online delivery method and paper statements will no longer
be generated for these accounts.

To modify statement delivery for specific accounts, you can select ‘Change statement delivery method’
at any time.

TIP: If you add a new account in the future, don’t forget to enroll the new account in online delivery.
It will not be automatically enrolled.

15 Rev 9/20
Bill Pay
To enroll in Bill Pay (if you did not do so when you initially enrolled for online banking), simply click the
Bill Pay icon in the top navigation bar and then click ‘Enroll now.’

Follow the prompts to select your primary “pay from” account and begin adding payees and paying
bills right away.

Personal Finance
Personal Finance allows you to see all your banking accounts in one location and offers many great
features including transaction categorization, budgeting, net worth, and goal tracking.

To get started with Personal Finance, simply click on the Personal Finance tab in the top navigation tool
bar.

16 Rev 9/20
Next, agree to the terms of the Personal Finance Agreement and click ‘Get started.’

Be sure to check out the Getting Started with Personal Finance guide at
https://www.americanbank.com/user-guides.

External Transfers
External Transfers allow you to move funds to and from accounts you have with us and accounts held at
other financial institutions.

To use this service, you will need to verify ownership of the external transfer account by providing us the
bank routing and account numbers and then verifying the amount of two small deposits we will make
into that account.

Once your account is verified, you will be able to make one time or recurring transfers to and from the
account at your other financial institution.

17 Rev 9/20
Click the ‘External Transfer’ icon in the top navigation bar, re-agree to the Electronic Banking
Agreement and click ‘Continue.’

Because External Transfers are considered risky transactions, you will need to validate your identity
through the out-of-band authentication process by selecting where to reach you and clicking
‘Continue.’

Once you have clicked ‘Continue,’ the following screen will appear. Follow the instructions shown and
click ‘Call completed.’

18 Rev 9/20
Once your identity has been verified, provide the required information about your external account on
the screen below and click ‘Continue.’

External accounts that are ready to be verified will be in a "Confirm" status and a link will be provided so
that the two deposits can be made and confirmed. New external accounts can be verified two business
days after the day the account was added.

Mobile Banking
After you have enrolled and logged in to Personal Online Banking, get started with Mobile Banking by
downloading the Personal Mobile Banking application from the appropriate app store:

iPhone iPad

Android Tablet

Be sure you download the correct app. The app icon looks like this:

19 Rev 9/20
To log in to Mobile Banking, use the same credentials that you use to log in to Personal Online Banking.

Once you are logged in, you will be able to see your account information and transactions on the go, use
Personal Finance tools, make Mobile Deposits, conduct person-to-person payments through Zelle® and
manage your debit card using Mobile Card Controls with Push Notifications.

Examples of the Mobile App download and login screens, and the Mobile Banking dashboard:

22 Rev 9/20
Managing Your Debit Card
Mobile Card Controls and Push Notifications give you the ability to define how and where your debit
card can be used, offering additional protection against fraudulent activity. With the tap of a finger, you
can make changes on the go.

For example, you can turn your card “off” and quickly turn it “on” when you are ready to use it. You can
set a geographic region where your card can be used, then manage it right from the Personal Mobile
Banking app when you are traveling. Preventing fraudulent online use is easy too. Set the card to block
online transactions and easily remove the block when you are ready to make an online purchase. You
can even block transactions when your card is not nearby, or transactions at certain types of locations.
Alerts can also be set to let you know when your card is used.

To get started managing your card, log in to the Mobile Banking app then tap ‘Continue’ in the top right
corner.

23 Rev 9/20
At the bottom of the screen, tap the ‘More’ icon.

On the ‘More’ screen, select ‘Card Controls’ to set up parameters for how and where your card can be
used or ‘Alerts’ to receive notifications whenever your card is used.

24 Rev 9/20
Step 7: Managing Your Loan

Viewing Loan Information

Within the online banking view, you can click on the loan account to see information about the loan.

The Account Activity screen will show the payment history of the loan, when the next payment is due,
and the next payment amount.

Click on ‘More’ in the navigation bar to view additional information about the loan.

25 Rev 9/20
Choose any of the information you would like to find concerning your loan:

26 Rev 9/20

From the drop-down list, select the loan on which you want to make a payment.

You can also set up repeating payments to be made automatically.

27 Rev 9/20

regular payment, a additional principal payment, or an additional escrow payment.

If you decided to make repeating payments, you will be able to set up the frequency, the starting date
and the ending date. Payment frequency can be set up for Biweekly, Monthly, Twice a month, or
Quarterly.

28 Rev 9/20
Making an External Loan Payment

need to have an external account set up within American Bank Personal Online Banking. On the Make a
Loan Payment screen, follow the directions at the bottom of the screen to add an external account to
online banking.

29 Rev 9/20
Subsequent Personal Online Banking Logins
Subsequent logins to Personal Online Banking can be accomplished by visiting americanbank.com and
locating the ‘Personal Login ID’ box in the top right corner of the homepage.

banking. Be sure to select the ‘Personal Login ID’ box.

Point your cursor to the text ‘Personal Login ID’ and click.

Enter your Login ID in the box. (Your Personal Login ID will be the Login ID you created during the
enrollment process.) Your Login ID is case sensitive.
