IT Gathering 2021: Mobile Legends tournament (August 19 - 20)

A. GROUND RULES

1.1 GAME ACCOUNTS:


- You are not allowed to share or use another person’s game account.

- Players must only use the account they have submitted to BITS..

1.2 TEAMS:
- Each team shall consist of only five (5) main members.

- A minimum of six (6) to eight (8) teams are allowed.

- Each team can have two (2) substitute players.

- A substitute player may only be added before the game begins, game facilitator shall
be notified. (substitute players must be on stand by if anything goes wrong). If the
facilitator is not notified, the game will start no matter what.

- Once the game begins, substitute players are only allowed if and only if:
➢ Main player has connectivity/network issues
➢ Player has disconnected for more than two (2) minutes
➢ Substitute players must be from the submitted list of players.
➢ Only a maximum of one (1) player can be substituted per game.

- A player may only represent one (1) team in the same game tournament.

- Failure to adhere to any of the said arrangements will lead to disqualification.

1.3 LIVE PLATFORM CONDITIONS


- Each scheduled game will be held through a specific discord channel provided by
BITS.
- Each live game will be facilitated by at least 1-2 BITS officer in real-time and provide
each of the necessary action:
I. Stream the game on the live platform.
II. inappropriate comments, cursing, or offensive comments shall be removed by the
officer in charge immediately.
III. During live spectating, officers should make sure to pay attention to the live incase of
any offense for the team or team members .

1.4 VIOLATIONS AND CONDITIONS

- Cursing or any form of verbal abuse or trash talk will be penalized.


I. first offense - verbal warning
II. second offense - penalty
III. Third offense - Either the whole team or team member will be disqualified.

- Failure to respect and show sportsmanship to their team or opponent will be


disqualified from playing.

- Spectationn and/or coaching by non BITS officers will be penalized.

- Students should be responsible for their own internet connection.

- Incase of any uncalled for disruptions or interruption (ex.: powersurge, etc.), report to
the BITS facilitator in charge and wait for further announcements and details.

CHEATING:
➔ Cheating is strictly prohibited. The use of third party application/s, exploit bugs, and
modifying game bugs is unethical and shall be given a corresponding sanction. Other
forms of cheating include, but not limited to the following:
➢ Map Hack
➢ Lag Hack
➢ Exploiting
➢ MMR boosting
➢ Drone View

BEHAVIOR:
➔ This tournament serves as a chance to enhance social skills and game play skills.
Any form of cyberbullying will not be tolerated. Behavior and attitude to keep in mind
during the duration of the game include, but are not limited to the following:
➢ Showing respect to all team players in both teams.
➢ Remaining honest throughout the whole game.
➢ Do not share personal or sensitive information.
➢ Do not impersonate or mock other individuals.
➢ Do not use foul language that shows discrimancy for ethnicity, religion, race,
gender, etc.

PUNISHMENTS AND SANCTIONS:


➔ A few of the most common violations and cases with their corresponding sanctions

1.5 COMMUNICATION
- All announcements will be made both in corresponding discord channels and team
leader/captains group chat in messenger.

- If any questions or support needed, contact the BITS facilitator in charge.

- Each team member must turn their mic on and join the discord server during the
duration of the game.
B. MATCH RULES

3.1 GAME SYSTEM


- Race to 3
- The picking of opponents is based on spin the wheel.
- This will be an elimination based tournament meaning once you lose, you’re
out.

- Games will start at the exact time based on a given schedule or until told
otherwise.

3.2 BEFORE MATCH.


- If there will be any last minute changes for the schedule, please check your
corresponding discord channels and group chats (for team leaders/captains).

- Each team is only given five (5) minutes allotted time to prepare and enter their
corresponding discord channel for each game.

- If a team is incomplete after allotted time, a penalty will be given.

- If a team is incomplete or missing after another five (5) minutes from allotted time,
that team will be disqualified.

- Each team is given an extra three (3) minutes to check if their players are complete.
- Once all the players have entered the lobby, both team captains of each team are in
charge of making sure their players are complete and are the right players listed.

- The team which is on the top of the match in the bracket will have to invite the
opposite team to the custom game.

- Team leaders/captains of both parties must provide a screenshot of the lobby before
the game officially begins.

3.3 DURING THE MATCH


- If any of the players disconnect, the game has to continue.
- If any of the players fail to connect after the end of the game countdown, they will be
given the chance to remake the match.

- In case the game begins both teams have announced that they are ready, the team
who did not announce ready will be given a chance to remake before round 1 of the
game begins.

3.4 AFTER THE MATCH:


- TEAM LEADERS/CAPTAINS should take a screenshot of game results, all
information of the match should be visible (score, name, etc.).

- Screenshot must be sent through the groupchat of team leaders/captains with BITS
and through the discord server.

- TEAM LEADERS/CAPTAIN should send the game results in this format as well with
the screenshot:
Schedule of game, team name, indicate if winner or defeat, score
(ex.: 08-19-21 1:00-2:00, team #1, WINNER, 5 - 3)

- If the screenshots from both teams are not matching, the situation will be
investigated by BITS. The team that fails to provide the correct screenshot is
sanctioned for either a penalty or disqualification.

- Wait for the official announcement by the BITS facilitator of the winner and next
opponent of the chosen winner.
