Pre-task for training team

 Main Duties of trainers (FYI)

1 Creating training materials

2 Planning and organizing training sessions

3 Training & coaching teachers

4 Cooperating with other departments if necessary

5 Anything relevant tasks to training sessions (announcement, setting rules, checking the
survey outcome on training satisfaction and applying to the next sessions, scheduling
training sessions, following-up teachers trained accordingly, reporting outcomes of
training to the company etc)

 Materials which training team member should create

1) Textbook Overview

- Textbook intro (target students, features, compositions etc)

2) Lesson Plan + Teacher’s guide

- Distribution of the time, stage of the class in 30 minutes class basis, what to do in each
part should be included. Refer to the e.g. below. (Specific teacher’s talk may include if
necessary.)

e.g. stage division - Time distribution for each stage -What to do in each part (teacher’s talk)
3) Demo class recorded

To make class video to demonstrate how to teach in each part, to show teaching tips etc

*** Demo class is like a sample class which provides divers teaching skills and method, tips for
class management, how to effectively conduct the class by using the textbook etc.

4) Tests and retests for each category of the sessions

To evaluate how well the teachers understand training sessions, to classify dropout

5) Additional ESL teaching skill guide

To show how to handle particular cases (e.g. to teach students effectively, to handle particular
students, how to open the debate classes, how to discipline young learners, how to effectively
use other class materials such as other websites or games etc)

6) Additional training and coaching materials

To find YouTube videos relevant or good sample classes,


 Training and Coaching sessions

To conduct training and coaching sessions, trainers should provide ‘Training Plan’ or ‘Coaching
Plan’ for potential trainees to briefly understand what to learn and for the company to know how
the training team’s work goes.

Of course, it could be different according to what and to whom the sessions are given, ‘Training
Plan’ and ‘Coaching Plan’ should normally be included what, when, how long and who to train,
whom to be trained, objective, passing criteria, how to handle the trainees who cannot pass the
sessions etc.

2) Only those who have relevant experience or have worked as ESL teacher’s trainer should
submit the files below. You may make these files by yourself or attach the files you have
used in previous company.

sessions
