It aims to determine the electronic devices students use most, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of usage. A survey will be conducted of 70 randomly selected grade 12 students to understand their usage patterns and perceptions. The results could benefit students, teachers, parents, and the community by increasing awareness of electronic devices' effects on learning, behavior, and health.

 Project Name: What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of Electronic Devices

on Grade 12 Students of San Agustin (Stand Alone) Senior High School?

 Introduction:

 Today, one of the hot issues in technology is about electronic devices.

Broadly speaking, all cellular phones, laptop and computers belong to

electronic devices.

 We cannot say that technology is all good in itself. It is also a two-edged

sword and we have to see in what extent it has really helped improved

peoples standard living.

 There are many possible effects on using it. And it depends only on the

way the users used it. They have to know how to use it for their benefit and

should not abuse its use. It should be properly used rather than rely on it

totally.

 Therefore, based on the data gathered, it shows that majority of grade 12

STEM student which is 42.86% are always using smartphones than any

other electronic device, 27.14% use electronic devices four to 5 hours a

day, and 38.57% use electronic devices for research purposes.

 Based on the gathered data, lack of sleep is the major disadvantage of

using electronic devices to grade 12 STEM students of USANT.


 According to the data gathered, enhanced communication is the major

advantage of using electronic devices to grade 12 STEM students of

USANT.

 Statement of the Research:

 This study aims to determine to the the Advantages and Disadvantages of

Electronic Devices to Grade 12 STEM Students of San Agustin (Stand Alone)

Senior High School. Specifically, it seeks answers to the following questions:

 What is the profile of the students?

 What electronic devices are the students mostly using?

 What are the advantages of using electronic devices?

 What are the disadvantages of using electronic devices?

 Importance of the Research:

 This study is about the advantages and disadvantages on the use of

electronic devices to senior high school students of the San Agustin

(Stand Alone) Senior High School. It will benefit the following:

 Students - they will be more aware of the effects of using

electronic devices which will help them become more

knowledgeable individuals.

 Teachers – they will know the effect if their students are

using electronic devices and they will be able to guide and

inform them of proper discipline.


 Parents – the parents will not be ignorant of the effects of

electronic devices to their children and they will be able to

discipline and teach their child of whats is right.

 Community - this study will help the community be aware of

the effects of using electronic devices and will make them

become more disciplined on the use of it.

 Future Researcher - this paper will surely contribute to our

rich bulk of literature and body of knowledge. They will gain

insights from the substance of this investigation.

 Description:

 This study was based on the assumptions that electronic devices has positive

and negative effects to the respondents. The respondents of the study are the

70 Senior High School Students of USANT.

 The method used by the researchers is descriptive survey. A descriptive

survey includes description, analysis and interpretations of conditions that

does exist.

 The descriptive survey estimated the extent to which different variable are

located to each other.

 The subject of the study are the Senior High School students of SASHS,

school year 2019-2020. They were from all tracks and strands consisting of

students, which are present by the time of distribution of the questionnaire.


 The researchers used the unrestricted random sampling under scientific

design..

 To find the respondents using Random Sampling, Slovin’s Formula is applied.

The Slovin’s Formula is shown:
