(INDONESIA INTERNATIONAL APPLIED SCIENCE PROJECT OLYMPIAD

PRELIMINARY
The world changes today so fast. This change provides
various kinds of things that require humans to adapt to the
changes that occur. Especially in the field of research.
Research is quite important because it is able to create
solutions to problems that occur today.

This is the reason why IYSA collaborated with the Faculty of


Science and Data Analytics (FSAD) Institute Sepuluh
Nopember to create a competition with title Indonesia
International Applied Science Olympiad (i2ASPO) that invites
elementary, middle, high school and university students to
be able to contribute to producing a product that can be
used by the wider community.

PURPOSE
1. Challenging Indonesian students / students to create
a work that can be applied and directly beneficial to
society.
2. Inviting Indonesian students / students to be more
sensitive to the problems in their respective
environments and find solutions.

GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. Participants are students of Elementary, Secondary and
University students.
2. Each team consists of a maximum of 5 people (for offline
competition, only 3 students and 1 supervisor who can attend
to venue) .
3. The online assessment will last for 15 minutes (8 minutes of
presentation and 7 minutes of Q&A session f rom the jury).
4. Offline assessments will be carried out at the participants'
booths

MECHANISM OF COMPETITION
1. Online Competition
- All participants (National and International) will judge online
through the Zoom Meeting application platform.
- Presentation using English, presentation material using power
point format.
- Each team has 15 minutes of judging. 7 minutes for presentation
and 8 minutes for questions and answers.
- When presenting each team must bring the product that has
been made.

2. Offline Competitions
- Offline participants only 150 teams for Secondary and University
levels.
- Each team is only allowed a maximum of 3 participants and 1
teacher/ supervisor.
- Each participant is required to bring a negative Covid-19 certificate
from the hospital.
- All participants are allowed to decorate their booth in the booth
set up session.

I. Extended Abstract
Format Extended Abstract
I. Introduction
Pages containing background issues, problem detail and
motivation
II. Material and methods Contains material and methods
related with the issue.
III. Discussion Contains a discussion of the issues raised in
the paper based on the reference or bibliography f rom
research article, non-research article, book, print media
online media, or the media/source of other references
related with the issue raised in the paper.
IV. Closing Contains the conclusion of the discussion that has
been described previously.

Extended abstract is made up to a maximum of 10 pages


outside of the bibliography / references used to support
research

2. Poster
- Poster explaining about the method of the project

- Free format and design

3. PRESENTATION MATERIALS
- Presentation are able to be delivered in English, as well as
the presentation material (in power point format).

- Each team has 7 minutes to Present their work and 8


minutes to feedback by the judges. Each team has 15
minutes in f ront of the jury.

- Each team must bring the product while presentation.
