Lead In:

 Greeting the students.


 Discuss the rules and the learning outcomes with students.
 Sing the alphabet song.

Presentation:

 The T reviews letter m. The T shows Ss a picture that has many vocabularies
and asks them to find letter Mm vocabs and asks Ss what sound do they start
with?
 The T sings the Jolly Phonics song of letter A and then asks them which sound
did they hear the most?
 The T holds up flash card of the letter, models the sound and the action (T asks
them to open their hands while they are opening their mouth) and gets
feedback from Ss.
 The T says that we knew about the sound and action now let`s say the name of
the letter it`s letter Aa.
 The T displays the vocabularies in an interesting way sand box, revealing
pictures PPT, realia (ant, alligator, axe, angry, arrange, astronaut) and elicits
from them and asks CCQ.
 Teacher explains the four lines of writing and then models directions of upper
case and lowercase Aa.

 The T asks the Ss to write it on their shoulder partners back.

Practice:

 Practice writing the uppercase and lowercase Aa in their practice book.


 Make the center activities.
 The Ss play interactive games (swat it, race to Mars PPT game)
Swat It: when the T says the word the Ss swat the flashcard.
Race to Mars: It’s a PPT game which they pretend they are in space to play, divide
the class into two teams. One team is the ‘Alien Ship’ and one team is the ‘Rocket’.
Then the students play Rock, Scissor, Paper, to see who goes first. The teams
should take turns in choosing a number and answering a question based on the
image on the screen. The first team to arrive at Mars is the winner.
 As a wrap up, they play a game (pass the ball)
Pass the Ball: Ss pass a ball in one direction while the teacher is playing a music.
The student who is holding the ball when the music is paused will give a word from
a given category (starts with an a). If the player didn`t say a word he is out of the
game.
