Write these sentences into conditional sentence type 2 and 3 !

1. If you go out with your friend tonight, I will watch the football match on TV
Type 2 = If you went out with your friend tonight,I would watch the football match
on TV
Fact = (She might not go out with her friend tonight)
Type 3 = If you had gone with your friend tonight,I would have watched the football
match on TV
Fact = (But she didn’t go out with her friend tonight)

2. I will earn a lot of money if I get a job


Type 2 = I would earn a lot of money if I got a job
Fact = (Maybe I didn’t get a job)
Type 3 = I would have earned a lot of money if I had got a job
Fact = (But I didn’t get a job)

3. If I have a lot of money , I will go to Mecca


Type 2 = If I had a lot of money,I would go to Mecca
Fact = (Look like I don’t have a lot of money)
Type 3 = If I had a lot of money,I would have gone to Mecca
Fact = (In the fact I don’t have a lot of money,It’s just a dream)

4. She will get a good score if she is diligent to study


Type 2 = She would get a good score If she were diligent to study
Fact = (She probably doesn’t diligent to study)
Type 3 = She would have got a good score is she been diligent to study
Fact = (But in reality she doesn’t diligent to study)

5. She will come to your party if she is not busy


Type 2 = She would come to your party if she weren’t busy
Fact = (Maybe at that time she is busy)
Type 3 = She would have come to your party if she been not busy
Fact = (She is busy at that time)

6. If he tries harder, he will reach the goals


Type 2 = If he had tried harder,he would reach the goals
Fact = (But maybe he doesn’t try harder)
Type 3 = If he had tried harder,he would have reached the goals
Fact = (In the real he doesn’t try harder)

7. It is not surprise me if he doesn’t know the answer


Type 2 = It wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t knew the answer
Fact = (He probably doesn’t know the answer)
Type 3 = It wouldn’t have surprised me if he hadn’t known the answer
Fact = (He doesn’t know the answer)

8. What will you buy if you have a lot of money?


Type 2 = What would you buy if you had a lot of money?
Fact = (You probably don’t know what will you buy because you don’t have a lot of
money)
Type 3 = What would have you bought if you had a lot of money?
Fact = (You never know what should you buy because you never have a lot of
money)

9. They will be happy if they meet you


Type 2 = They would be happy if the had meet you
Fact = (Probably they haven’t meet you)
Type 3 = They would have been happy if they had met you
Fact = (Actually they never meet you)

10. If we listen to the radio, we will hear the news


Type 2 = If we had listened to the radio,we would hear the news
Fact = (We haven’t listen to the radio)
Type 3 = If we had listened to the radio,we would have heard the news
Fact = (We never have listen to the radio)
