1. A 33 KVA, 2200/220 V, 50 Hz single phase transformer has the following parameters:
Primary winding (HV side) resistance R1 = 2.4 Ω; leakage reactance X1 = 6.00 Ω.
Secondary winding (LV side) resistance R2 = 0.03 Ω; leakage reactance X2 = 0.07 Ω.
(a) Find the primary resistance and leakage reactance referred to secondary.
(b) Find the secondary resistance and leakage reactance referred to primary.
(c) Calculate the total ohmic loss at full load.

Open circuit test (on LV side) - 250V, 1.4A, 105 Watts.
Short circuit test (on HV. side) - 104 V, 8A, 320 Watts.
Compute the parameters of the approximate equivalent circuit referred to high-voltage and low-
voltage sides.
Answer: Referred to LV R = 595 Ω, X = 187 Ω, r = 0.05 Ω, x = 0.12 Ω
