Design of Staircase - 10182021

The document provides design details and computations for a staircase, including: - A plan view and section view showing the staircase layout with 16 steps and dimensions. - Computations to determine the number of steps, riser height, and tread width based on the given rise and run. These were determined to be 16 steps with a 18.8cm riser and 0.3m tread width. - Reinforcement details showing the placement of rebar in the stairs.

Computation: (Refer to book of Max B. Fajardo Jr., Simplified Construction Estimate, 3rd Edition,
Chapter 9, page 291-308)

Number of Steps = Rise/minimum riser

= 1.50m/0.17m (assumed riser is between 17-19cm, 20cm is for special consideration)
= 8.82 steps ( used whole number, 8 steps, (oro, plata, mata consideration))

Height of Riser = 1.50/8

= 0.188m or 18.80cm (ok, between 17-19cm)

Effective width of tread

= Run/(# of Steps-1)
= (3.00-1.1)/(8-1)
= 0.271m

Width of Tread = Effective width of Tread + Nosing (2 to 5cm)

= 0.271+0.029
= 0.30m

USE: 16 steps, 18.80cm riser & 0.30m tread width
