Kedoshim

This document provides commentary on the Hebrew words and meanings in Leviticus 19:1-20:25 related to being "holy" or "set apart". The key points are: 1) Being holy means being set apart as the Bride of God and walking in obedience to God's commandments as represented by the mezuzah on the doorpost. 2) Loving God means honoring parents, keeping the Sabbath, and avoiding idolatry as outlined in the first few commandments. 3) Loving neighbors means avoiding cursing the deaf, putting stumbling blocks before the blind, and following God's instructions for just treatment

Qedoshim

Holy – Set Apart Ones.

Lev. 19: 1 – 20: 25.

Here Father uses the Hebrew language in a word pun to convey what being Qadosh
really means. Let’s look at the verse in the original language:

First, there are two words that I call your attention to:

• #5712, ‫` עדה‬edah, an appointed meeting, an assembly. This word can

also mean a witness or testimony. Since this word infers the Bride, the mirror
or counter-part having the same numeric value (79) is Boaz, the Strong One
who comes!
• #6918, ‫ קדוש‬qadowsh, sacred, holy, set apart. Interestingly, the
gematrial equivalent of this word is (410) the same as #4474, mimsal, meaning
dominion, and authority, ruling power. One cannot, will not rule or reign in
the stead of or along side of Messiah without walking in holiness!

This “Assembly” represents the Bride of YHVH, who is told she must exist –
be ‘holy’ for He is holy. If we change the vowel pointing of the two above
words, you have #5708, `iddah, meaning ‘filthy’, as in a woman’s menstrual
cloth, which is also related to (N) iddah, the condition of uncleanness
associated with the same. It may also infer the harlot. Next, you have the word
‘Qadowsh’, spelled with the Vav – indicating Messiah, remove the vav and
you have qadesh, the word for temple prostitute!

It is painfully obvious that YHVH here is once again reminding Israel of their
tendency to return to Egypt!

Further examination of the root of Qadoshim, Qadash – Qoph, Dalet, Shin –

reveals how the relationship between YHVH and the Bride is established. The
Vav is the added letter, implying a connector, I.E. ‘Messiah’. The Hebrew
letter Qoph means to encircle, to touch (Hebrew wedding custom dictates the
bride encircle the groom 7 times) while Dalet represents the door. A more
mystical meaning of Dalet is seen in the root Dal, (dalet-lamed) which means
week, powerless. Without the addition of the Tav, the sign of the Covenant,
the Torah made flesh (which is spelled Tav-vav-beit, a verbal root which,
means to turn back, to do again and is related to the Heb. root ‘shuv’ – to
return) the only vehicle of return to Torah is the doorway of the flesh, which
is too weak by itself! Messiah became that door, destroying the veil –
weakness of the flesh! Finally, we have the letter ‘Shin’, spelled shin-nun, and
meaning ‘learned’ as in Learned One!

Romans 8:2 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in
Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free
from the law of sin and death.

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the
flesh, YHVH sending His own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin,
condemned sin in the flesh!

Thus, to become Holy and Set Apart [As the Bride] Israel must return to
Torah and “Touch the Door”. The door – dalet, with the Vav attached
becomes the Chet – New Beginnings, representing the loins – the seat of
procreation, the seat of learning! So, touch the Mezuzah!

• Mezuzah, #4201, ‫ מזוזה‬mĕzuwzah a fem. noun for doorpost, gate. It is

quite interesting that the root is zuz, zayin-vav-zayin, which means ¼ of a
shekel, ‫ ד‬both doorposts then would equal ½ shekel, the price of redemption!

ָ The gematria of zuz is 7+6+7=20 the same as the root of the name YHVH
‫ח‬
introduced himself to Moshe with. Hayah – spelled, Hey-Yod-Hey, add the
VAV (Messiah) and you get the full name represented!

How to be Holy?
Lev. 19: 3,4.

Love YHVH.
I. As soon as He instructs Israel to be holy, YHVH immediately launches
into 3 of the first 10 commandments: The first dealing with #5 (the number of
grace which only comes by OBEDIANCE) to honor our father and mother.

Interestingly, it was the duty of the parents to write the commandments and
place them before the children, on the doorposts, mezuzah of their hearts. The
most visible form of writing etching would have been by living the example
within the confines of the MARRIAGE RELATIONSHIP – One Man/One
Woman.

Next He addresses the Sabbath, the Seal of the Marriage Covenant between
He and His Bride and mirrored in the earthly Man & Wife and the 4th
commandment the Sign of the Door! A corrupted door (less than a half-
shekel) means the full redemption price has not been met!

Third, He emphatically addresses the Idols – False gods/husbands, which were

brought into the intimate place while in Egypt. The order is specific. A
perversion of either the Marriage relationship or the Sign of the Covenant, the
Sabbath, will lead to Idolatry/Adultery!

*Note the number of words in these two verses: 22.

22 is the double of eleven, the number of disorganization and disintegration,

especially in connection to the Word of YHVH. Eleven is an addition to Divine
order (10) and a subtraction from Kingdom Rule (12). We are admonished to
not add to or take away from, the Torah (Deut. 4:2, Rev. 22: 18). Although
His words are pure and righteous altogether, man has altered them. Could the
22 letters of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet have been prophetical that His Torah
would indeed by corrupted by man? Yes! It would be broken, bruised,
disfigured, marred and yet maintain its’ integrity. Finally, it would be
revealed in its’ pure form again (Zeph. 3:8,9) and recognized by the Restored
House of David in Zech. 12:10!

There are also 88 letters 4x22. 4=dalet, door. The language of Hebrew is the
door/the manifestation of YHVH in the person of Messiah. 88 is written: Pey-
Chet, #6341, #6351, pach, to ensnare, to be held captive. Is. 42: 21,22.

The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify
the law, and make [it] honourable. But this [is] a people robbed and
spoiled; [they are] all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in
prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil,
and none saith, Restore.

The word for holes, #2352, Chur, Chet, Resh, means hole, pit: if you add the
VAV, Chur, it means white – as in robes of white! Incidentally, there is an
untranslated word immediately following the English word ‘holes’, Chur, it is
#972, bachur, which means ‘chosen’, The Chosen. Thus, the very thing they
attempt to corrupt – the Torah, is what ensnares them!

It is not accidental that the gematria of Chur, Chet-8, Resh-200 = 208) is the
same as the phrase, “Lechem Ani” The Bread of Affliction, which purges the
flesh – Chametz, from among us. If you add the Vav – 6 the total is 214, the
same as yarad, the root of the word Jordan, meaning to go down, descent.
Thus, the Bread of Affliction led them into the Jordan where they were
judged!

Love Your Neighbors!

II. The next few verses are a repeat of the part of the
Commandments dealing with the treatment of others. Lev. 19: 14
in particular is significant:

Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the
blind, but shalt fear thy God: I [am] the LORD. Let’s examine this verse in
Hebrew:

• Curse, #7043, ‫ קלל‬qalal, translated as curse, a better more

accurate rendering is to be slight with, or to trivialize. The two-
letter root is Qoph-Lamed, Qol, meaning voice. The double lamed,
from Lamed-Lamed, related to lailah, means night, the absence of
LIGHT. To be deaf is the absence of the light of His Voice! Thus,
we are not to trivialize deafness!
• Deaf, #2795, ‫ חרש‬cherish, translated deaf, the same 3-letter root
also spells craftsman, a skilled worker. Charoset is one of the
staples of the Seder plate, representing the skilled labor of the
brick masons in Egypt. One who cannot hear the Voice/Torah is
unskilled in building.
• Stumblingblock, #4383, ‫ מכשול‬mikshowl, to stumble, to make
stagger, waver. Its, root, #3782, kasal, to stumble, is closely
related to #3784, kasap, to practice magic, sorcery, which use
causes hearts to be hardened against the Truth.

• Blind, #5787, ‫` עור‬ivver, to make blind, to put out someone’s eyes.

Any animal that was blind was not fit for sacrifice. It is spelled
with the same root letters Ayin-Vav-Resh, as the word `ore,
meaning skin, to be exposed. When YHVH clothes Adam & Eve,
with skin – ore, a blindness in part to the Truth of Torah was a
result.

Incidentally, the word for ‘blind’ is pronounced almost the same as #5677,
Eber, Ayin-Beit-Resh, the root of the word Hebrew, meaning to cross over,
to stand in opposition (to Nimrod). The difference is a Vav rather than a
Beit. The numerical difference 6 – 2 = 4. The Door. If the House(2) of Man
(6) doesn’t have a proper Door(4) one covered by the Blood, touched by the
Bride, with the Commandments of YHVH affixed to it, blindness ensues.
