Angle Type Tension Fitting

The document describes calculations to determine stress in an angle tension fitting based on the British Rail "Brown Book" method. It provides equations to calculate geometry, stresses in the wall and end pad of the fitting given input values for the geometry and load. Stresses are calculated including direct stress, bending stress, and total stress in the wall, as well as bending and shear stresses in the end pad. Conversion factors between metric and US units are also provided.
