D1: Fiction and Reality


Express your thoughts about the prompt in a paragraph of at least five sentences.
Upon watching the video presentation, I have come to realized that creative writing or fictional
writing is not only a composition of words to create stories, but also, it can enable a person to
have a wider perspective of the real world through it. In the video, the speaker talked about the
three ways on how creative writing improved his business skills that positively impacted his
career. First, understanding the characters including their appearance, thoughts, feelings and
emotions, is a very important concept. Through this, we will know how we should react in certain
situations and know their purposes for existing. Second, words have power, even the simplest
one. The words that comes out from a person’s mouth tells so much how he/she is as a person.
Moreover, the right words are able to create a positive impact and change with the
surroundings. Lastly, point of view enables us to have different thoughts and opinions from
different perspectives. Hence, it allows us to be more imaginative, have a shaper mind and be
more understanding of what is around us.
