Mr. Raghav Jindal, Sr. Consultant

FTI Consulting, Mumbai
Subject: Application for the position of Consultant at FTI Consulting

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my interest for the position of Consultant at FTI Consulting. My professional
career at J.P. Morgan investment banking has provided me extensive exposure to M&A and capital raising
transactions across the world. Through FTI consulting, I aim to develop new skill sets along with consolidating
my existing learnings to provide valuable advice to clients in varied sectors. Your presentation at ISB focused
on FTI’s capabilities in solving complex problems related to valuation in a particular project, something which I
could strongly relate to given my experience in valuing a firm’s assets. The prospect of working on
intellectually stimulating projects alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry thoroughly excites me.

Coming from the investment banking industry known for its rigorous work environment, I believe I will be well
suited for the demanding assignments one will face in this role. The challenge of working on multiple live deals
as a Senior Analyst has helped me develop a strong technical skill set, while leading the 4 member emerging
markets team has nurtured my leadership abilities. My experience of working on M&A advisory and equity
growth funding projects has allowed me to explore various valuation techniques used in sell-side transactions.
My efforts in indicating scope for a valuation upside of €300mn through DCF and SOTP analysis for a Belgian
pharmaceutical company enabled our deal team to win the mandate amongst 9 banks. My strong performance
orientation at J.P. Morgan allowed me to achieve fast tracked double promotion in 17 months vs. an average of
36 months.

My ability to successfully lead a team in high pressure situations has been demonstrated through various
assignments that I have undertaken in my professional career. My initiative of leading a 5 member team to
devise divestment and recapitalization strategies for BNP Paribas and HSBC resulted in a potential deal
origination of US$4 bn. The strategic analysis was of utmost importance to the senior leadership and was
overlooked personally by the J.P. Morgan Asia Pacific CEO. Our final technical analysis, innovation and quality
of research was highly appreciated by the client and we were mandated to take the project ahead. Such complex
projects have not only exposed me to the intricacies of team management, but also instilled in me essential
project management capabilities. FTI, unlike many other consulting firms, provides a great opportunity to
manage people from the beginning and I strongly believe that my leadership skills will be beneficial in the
workplace.

My efforts and dedication have resulted in several awards and accolades throughout my career. I was felicitated
with the Champion Initiator award at work for exceptional performance, business development and team
leadership. In DCE, I held multiple leadership positions for key events and led teams for sponsorships and PR
initiatives. My work on green projects in school enabled me to secure 1 st position at the National Science
Seminar. At ISB, I am heading the finance team to develop a comprehensive budget for ISB’s Startup
Accelerator Program and also pursuing a faculty mentored research project on the Indian banking industry.

My passion to take ownership and deliver value to the clients through innovative solutions strongly resonates
with FTI’s culture. I thoroughly believe that through my hardwork, perseverance and valuable past experience, I
will successfully contribute to your firm’s growth.

My resume is enclosed below. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,
