Business membership
Business membership is premium level membership. It costs just £60 per year and provides
your business with a huge "Business Class" range of benefits that will help you promote and
grow your business globally for less than £1 per week.
Business Membership is for established businesses, limited companies and organizations
looking to grow their market share nationally & internationally.
These terms and conditions form the basis of the legal relationship between a Member and The
Commonwealth Business Club. By proceeding with the registration/joining process, you agree to be bound by
these terms and conditions
Membership criteria:
Membership of The Commonwealth Business Club is open to individuals who are in business on their own
account; companies, corporations, firms and other organisations engaged or interested in commerce, industry,
trade and ancillary services; members of professions who have an interest in commerce, industry, trade and
ancillary services; voluntary, social and public sector agencies, organisations or bodies who have an interest in
commerce, industry, trade and ancillary services.
The Commonwealth Business Club will not accept membership applications from companies, individuals or
organisations whom it considers to be operating or involved in a pyramid/MLM scheme. Should any member
attempt to procure involvement in such a scheme that membership will be terminated immediately.
Whilst the vast majority of members will be located within a commonwealth member state, membership of
The Commonwealth Business Club is open to companies and other organisations regardless of their location
who wish to build mutually beneficial business connections with businesses based within the Commonwealth.
Membership termination:
The Commonwealth Business Club will be entitled to cancel your membership if you have behaved in an
inappropriate manner towards other members or towards The Commonwealth Business Club; you bring The
Commonwealth Business Club or its reputation and good standing into disrepute through your actions; you
breached these terms and conditions.
Groups of companies:
Where a company that forms part of a group of companies successfully applies for membership, this does not
entitle the parent company or any other subsidiary of the parent company to become a Member. Each company
in the group shall be required to apply separately for membership or the parent shall take out a collective
membership that embraces all parts of the group.
Severance:
Each provision contained in these terms and conditions shall be severable from any other provisions, and if any
part of any provision shall be found to be invalid, illegal or void for any reason, this will not affect any other
part of such provision or any other provision contained in these terms and conditions, which shall continue to
have full force and effect.
Entire agreement:
These terms and conditions supersede all prior agreements, negotiations, representations and proposals,
whether written or oral, concerning the subject matter of the terms and conditions of your membership of The
Commonwealth Business Club.
Other Prevailing Conditions:
You also agree to be bound by the Articles of Association of The Commonwealth Business Club and such
other by-laws of The Commonwealth Business Club as are in force from time to time.
Governing law:
These terms and conditions shall be construed in accordance with the laws of The United Kingdom and the
parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the British Courts.
Third parties:
No rights are conferred on any person who is not a party to these terms and conditions.
Assignment:
You shall not assign any of your rights or obligations under these terms and conditions without our prior
written consent. We shall have the right to assign or otherwise delegate all or any of our rights or obligations
under these terms and conditions upon notification to you.
Disclaimer:
The Commonwealth Business Club gives you no warranty or assurance about any recommendations or
referrals we make in respect of third parties and the services they supply. You should always satisfy yourself as
to the status of any such third parties and the suitability of the services they supply. All implied warranties and
conditions are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.
The Commonwealth Business Club only provides you with such recommendations and referrals on the basis
that all representations, warranties, conditions and other terms are excluded to the maximum extent permitted
by law (including, without limitation, the conditions implied by law of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose
and the use of reasonable care and skill which, but for this legal notice, might have effect in relation to any
referral or recommendation).
Events
All events must be booked and, where a fee is payable, it must be paid in advance of the event. Failure to
comply could result in your place at the event being withdrawn.
Failing to attend an event does not entitle you to a refund unless you have informed us of cancellation in
writing within the timescale set out in the event booking form. Any other refunds are entirely at the discretion
of The Commonwealth Business Club.
Errors and omissions
Every care is taken to ensure that all information in The Commonwealth Business Club publications, including
the website and e-newsletter, is correct. However, there may still be errors and we apologise for any
inconvenience that this may cause. If you find an error or omission, please let us know, and we will verify it
and correct it as soon as possible.
The Commonwealth Business Club Online Business Forum Access (The Boardroom):
One “named” individual will have access to The Commonwealth Business Club online business forum(The
Boardroom) on behalf of each registered member company/organisation.
The Commonwealth Business Club may, but is not obliged to, monitor or review any areas on the online
business forum where users transmit or post communications or communicate solely with each other, including
but not limited to the Members' forums, and the content of any such communications. The Commonwealth
Business Club, however, will have no liability relating to the content or accuracy of any such communications,
whether or not arising under the laws of copyright, libel, privacy, obscenity, or otherwise. The Commonwealth
Business Club retains the right to remove communication and/or information that includes any material
deemed abusive, defamatory, obscene or otherwise unacceptable.
Any member found to have acted contrary to these terms and conditions and who has had communications or
information placed by it on our website removed may also have its membership revoked at The
Commonwealth Business Club's sole discretion and in the event, The Commonwealth Business Club exercises
its rights under this provision to terminate a member's membership on this basis, then it shall immediately
notify the member concerned in writing.
If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information
as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose it
to any third party. We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by
you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of
these terms and conditions.
Other than personal data, any material, information or other communication you transmit or post to our website
will be considered non-confidential. The Commonwealth Business will have no obligations with respect to
such communications. The Commonwealth Business will be free to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate and
otherwise use the communications and all data and text embodied therein for any and all commercial or non-
commercial purposes.
Use of The Commonwealth Business Club Logo Terms & Conditions:
The Commonwealth Business Club logo and all content within this website is protected by the Copyright,
Designs & Patents Act 1988. Use of or publication of the the logo or content from within this website is
strictly forbidden unless with express permission in writing from the Commonwealth Business Club. Any
copyright infringements will be pursued in the courts.
