How and Why Were The Pyramids of Giza Built

This document is a research paper by Brandon Birden about the Pyramids of Giza. It discusses how most believe the pyramids were tombs for pharaohs, but the author believes they were also used as ancient technology to harness energy. The paper provides details on the construction of the three main pyramids at Giza and notes the precise stonework. It explores the theory that the pyramids concentrated electromagnetic energy and that the Great Pyramid's golden capstone may have been used to generate electricity via lightning in a similar way to modern solar cells. The author argues the ancient Egyptians displayed superior intelligence and skills far beyond what is known today.

How and Why were the Pyramids of Giza Built?

In middle school, like many of us, we were taught that the Pyramids of Giza were to

house the remains of the deceased Pharaohs who ruled over Ancient Egypt. I am writing a

research paper about the Pyramids of Giza and their existence. Most believe that the pyramids

were to house dead remains, but I think otherwise. In my research paper, I will be telling you

why I believe the Pyramids of Giza are lost ancient technology. The Great Pyramids of Giza

were in the process of construction from the year 2550 to 2490 B.C. The pyramids are tombs for

the three royal Pharaohs. Pharaoh Khufu built the tallest pyramid, Pharaoh Khafre built the

second pyramid, and Pharaoh Menkaur built the smallest pyramid. Lots of historians have come

up with different theories surrounding the existence of the pyramids.

The Pyramids of Giza are three structures that were built about 4,500 years ago by

20,000 Egyptian workers. According to the ancient Greek historian Herodotus before it was

thought that the pyramids were built by 100,000 workers. Up until the 20th century, everyone

thought Herodotus was right, but now Egyptologists have found evidence that the workforce

was limited to about 20,000 workers instead of 100,000. This fact tells us there are still new

findings being discovered even in this day in age.

Birden 2

Many also thought that the workers of the construction were slaves, but that is also false.

The workers were citizens of Giza who were out of jobs since the Nile River began to flood the

land. Agricultural laborers worked on the pyramids since there was little work to be done in the

fields. The 20,000 workers consisted of field workers, bakers, physicians, priests, etc. For many,

helping build the pyramids was their job because of the Nile River flood.

Pharaoh Khufu, the second king of the 4th dynasty, built The Great Pyramid of Giza, the

Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and the tallest of the pyramids. At its highest, the Great

Pyramid of Giza stood at 146.7 meters (481 feet 3 inches) high. It was known as the tallest

structure for over 4,000 years. Today it stands at 137.5 meters (451 feet 1 inch). Pharaoh

Khafre, the fourth of the eight kings of the 4th dynasty, built the second pyramid. It stood at

143.5 meters (470.79 feet). Today it stands at 136.4 meters (447.50 feet). Pharaoh Menkaure,

the fifth king of the 4th dynasty, built the smallest and youngest pyramid. It stood at 65.5 meters

(215 feet). Today it stands at 61 meters (200 feet).

All three Pyramids of Giza are made of granite (8,000 metric tons), limestone (5.5

million metric tons), and mortar(500,000 metric tons). Each stone weighed about 2.3 metric

tons (2.5 tons). Everything about how the Egyptians cut, carved and placed the blocks is a

mystery. In reality, the ancient Egyptians left no explanation of how they cut, carved, and

positioned the blocks.

There is a logical explanation for how they lifted and placed the heavy blocks. They

used a sled to pull, lift, and position the blocks. The sled was then attached to wooden posts

using ropes. The Egyptians would be able to carry the blocks out of the quarries onto the

pyramids. How the Egyptians were able to cut and carve the blocks with such precision is the

real mystery. Being able to cut stones of that magnitude with the methods used today would be
Birden 3

no problem. However, being able to cut the stones placed on the pyramid with that precision is

impressive. The cutting and carving method of the Egyptians is just one of the greatest

mysteries about the Pyramids of Giza.

Birden 4
Birden 5

The two pictures are of a wall on the inside of one of the pyramids of Giza, the cut is so

precise that a credit card couldn’t fit in between the blocks. The cuts are so precise that the

camera can barely show the cuts made. If you couldn’t see the cuts in the first picture, the

second picture highlights them.

The great pyramid which was built for Pharaoh Khufu was said to once have a golden

capstone. If the golden capstone was there, it was probably made to be a Pyramidion. A

Pyramidion is the capstone of an obelisk or a pyramid. It is used to bring pyramid structure to a

point at the same angle and the same proportions as the main body, the main body being the

pyramid itself. Gold is a good conductor of electricity.

I couldn’t find any pictures that showed the top of Pharaoh Khufu’s pyramid, but by

looking at the pyramid, there appears to be no top to it. Why would the ancient Egyptians build

a structure so great as to not make it perfect? As seen from pictures, the other two pyramids

have some evidence of them having tops to them. This brings me to the question, why does the

Great Pyramid of Giza not have a top? It can be said that it has eroded after the past 4,500

years, but why hasn’t that happened to the other two pyramids? Gold has always been used as a
Birden 6

currency in all countries around the world, why wouldn’t it be stolen after so long. I believe that

the golden capstone was stolen some time ago, but that isn’t the point of this paper. The point of

this paper is to find out why and how the Pyramids of Giza were built. To figure out how and

why I have to research everything about the pyramids.

The reason I am looking at everything is that there are no documents of how and why

they were built. The ancient Egyptians have documented their history in the form of

hieroglyphics, but there is nothing about the pyramids. I believe that they did place a

Pyramidion at the top of Pharaoh Khufu’s pyramid. A Pyramidion has been placed on top of

many pyramids around the world. The Pyramidion was inscribed with royal titles and religious

symbols, then used as a capstone. Not only can the golden Pyramidion be used to inscribe royal

titles and religious symbols, but it can also be used to conduct energy from lightning. Copper

and silver are superior to gold, but gold outlasts them both. Gold outlasts copper and silver

because they tarnish over time. Copper and silver tarnish as a result of exposure to air or

moisture. Gold is the best choice of metal for a pyramidion because it doesn’t rust or corrode.

Gold also remains conducive longer than copper and silver.

“Archeologists in Egypt found that due to its shape the Great Pyramid of Giza can focus

electromagnetic energy, such as radio waves, into its internal chambers and below its base. If

scientists could recreate the concentrated energy on a nanoscale it could be used to develop

more efficient sensors and solar cells.” This statement is evidence that Pharaoh Khufu’s

pyramid can be used as an energy source. Due to the lack of information about the physical

properties of the pyramid, it would be an assumption to say that the ancient Egyptians knew

this.
Birden 7

“Scientists predicted that the pyramid can concentrate electromagnetic energy under

resonance conditions in its internal chambers and the base. The research group plans to use

these theoretical results to design nanoparticles capable of reproducing similar effects in the

optical range. Such nanoparticles may be used, for example, to develop sensors and highly

efficient solar cells." Nanoparticles are used in the manufacture of scratch-proof eyeglasses,

crack-resistant paints, anti-graffiti coatings for walls, transparent sunscreens, stain-repellent

fabrics, self-cleaning windows, and ceramic coatings for solar cells. A Solar Cell is a device

converting solar radiation into electricity.

Since technology such as solar cells was not around 4,500 years ago, I believe there was

a golden capstone. I’m not a scientist, but the golden capstone was used to generate electricity

from lightning the same way a solar cell converts solar radiation into electricity. I wanna make

it clear that I am not saying the ancient Egyptians didn’t use the pyramids as tombs for the

pharaohs. It is safe to assume that the pyramids were designed and built by people with superior

intelligence and access to advanced tools and skills. The way that they cut and carved the blocks

is advanced. The tools and skills are so advanced that after 4,500 years, we still haven’t found

out how pyramids were made. I’d even say that the intelligence the ancient Egyptians displayed

thousands of years ago, has more potential than our current knowledge. I say this because after

4,500 years, in 2018 it was finally accepted that the pyramids concentrated electromagnetic

energy. The evidence of the ancient Egyptians superior intelligence is all there in the form of

pyramids. I could go into detail about how the ancient Egyptians knew a lot of things thousands

of years before modern science could, but I won’t. The existence of the pyramids alone shows

how far superior the ancient Egyptians were.

Birden 8

The picture shown above shows electromagnetic energy being concentrated inside of the

Great Pyramid of Giza. From what I understand, the red in the diagrams show electromagnetic

waves inside the Great Pyramid of Giza at different lengths of radio waves (from 200 to 400

meters) as said in the article “Study reveals the Great Pyramid of Giza can focus

electromagnetic energy.”

It is not a mystery that ancient Egyptians were far superior to others in intelligence and

advanced building techniques. The techniques that they used in the past aren’t at all impossible

to achieve. Being that there are no documents of what they did, there is no possible way to

know how they cut and carved the blocks of the pyramids. The only thing we have is an

assumption, the assumption is shown in the YouTube video titled “Granite Cutting and

Drilling”. In the video, the crew uses bronze tools to cut granite, the bronze tools made no cuts
Birden 9

in the granite. The bronze tools themselves were being broken after a couple of hits. Bronze

tools were the only tools found on the site of the Giza Plateau, so it was assumed that the

ancient Egyptians had used the tools to cut and carve stones. After seeing many videos of

historians trying to cut granite and limestone with the same tools, it is obvious that the ancient

Egyptians did not use any of the assumed tools that historians found. I believe that ancient

Egyptians had a different use for the great pyramid, a use that was lost to time. The advanced

tools and skills are still unknown to us at this point and time. Without knowing exactly what the

ancient Egyptian did to accomplish this great feat, we’ll never know how they built the

pyramids.

In conclusion, I believe that the ancient Egyptians had advanced tools and skills to cut

and carve the blocks of the Pyramids of Giza. The reason I believe this is because the assumed

way to do so has already been debunked or proven to be difficult. The ancient Egyptians

finished the construction of the Pyramids of Giza in 20 years. The Great Pyramid of Giza is

made up of more than 2,300,000 limestones and granite blocks. The Great Pyramid of Giza’s

builders would have had to produce more than 315 blocks a day to finish in 20 years. The

technique used in the YouTube video “Granite Cutting and Drilling” would not have allowed

the ancient Egyptians to finish building the pyramids in 20 years. The guys in the video were

only able to make a 2 inch cut in the block after a few days. If the ancients Egyptians would

have used the method shown in the video, the builders wouldn’t have been able to make 1 block

in a single day.

The Pyramids of Giza were built for religious reasons. The ancient Egyptians glorified

the afterlife. The tomb inside of the pyramids were the final resting places of the deceased

Pharoah. The pyramids symbolized the wealth and power the Pharoah had in their lifetime. I am
Birden 10

not saying that purpose of the Pyramids of Giza was not to preserve a body for the afterlife.

There are thousands of different religions today, and some of them believe in the afterlife as

well. What I am implying about the ancient Egyptians is that they were an advanced civilization

lost to history. Being that I think they were an advanced civilization, I believe that the pyramids

have use that is unknown to us at the moment. The Great Pyramid of Giza being able to

concentrate electromagnetic energy was accepted 3 years ago. There may be unknown details

that we haven't found yet. The pyramids could be the stairway to heaven or even just a solar

cell. Without all of the information, nothing can be 100% proven.
