: So now let’s proceed to the itinerary of the tour. Day 1 (Read the itinerary)
The Capitol University is a famous landmark in the city of Cagayan de Oro and one of its main
attractions is the Museum of Three Cultures. As the name suggests, there are 3 galleries that
showcase the cultures of Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro, and Marawi. You can spend a leisurely
afternoon here, gazing at ceramics, photos, and artifacts so you can learn more about the 3
cultures. Don’t miss seeing the ceremonial swords, the royal beds, and the beautiful paintings.
Next is Corrales Avenue, it is located near Capitol University Museum of three cultures where
they can choose where to dine.
The last destination for day 1 itinerary, is bustling nightlife hot spot, Plaza Divisoria, comes alive
after sundown when dozens of vendors set up shop in the street and fast food stalls operate in full
mode. Live music is played in the streets
Day 2
: and here are the itinerary for day 2 Katibawasan Falls is the tallest waterfall on Camiguin Island
that stands at a whopping 70 meters tall. This is one waterfall you definitely want to add to your
list of things to see in Camiguin! The shallow lagoon at the base of the falls is the perfect
opportunity to cool off in the fresh, crystalline waters while marveling at the lush jungle
surrounds.
The island-province of Camiguin is blessed with so many springs — hot and cold. Powered by
volcanic activities underneath, these tourist havens are perfect for those who have been longing
for some, ironically, peace of mind as the water is sure to relax the body and rejuvenate energy.
Ardent Hibok-Hibok Spring Resort has several pools that visitors may choose from although the
favorite is clearly the warmest, with water about 40 degrees Celsius.
Take a trip to the Sunken Cemetery- You may wonder why this is called the Sunken Cemetery.
This location is an important memorial spot. As we already know, Camiguin is a place full of
history and the background of this site is no exception. After Mt. Vulcan erupted, the remains of
some of the locals were swept underwater, thus the name. The area where the remains now lay
are marked by a large cross, in the middle of the water. If you want to learn a bit more about
Camiguin history then take a trip to the Sunken Cemetery. Sunken Cemetery Address: Camiguin
Island, Camiguin Philippines. This was featured in the movie titled OUIJA casting by Judy Ann
Santos and many artists.
It was the right choice for us. Camiguin Volcan Beach Eco Retreat and Dive Resort is a lovely
resort, with manicured gardens and facilities that are very well maintained. This is know as
Stunning and unique diving spots in Camiguin
Visit the Giant Clam Sanctuary-At this place, people come to have a look at all the different
types of clams in various shapes, sizes, and colors. It is a non-governmental project meaning all
the proceeds from the visitors go towards the maintenance of the clams and their conservation as
some of the clams are endangered species. This place is quite a catch to visitors because it is not
every day that you see giant clams, and the sanctuary also keeps clams that produce pearls.
Giant Clam Sanctuary is where you can savour the seafood boodle fight.
White Island is an uninhabited white sandbar located about 1.4 kilometres off the northern shore
of Mambajao in the volcanic island of Camiguin in the Philippines. The island is generally
horseshoe shaped, although the tides constantly resize and reshape its exact form. There are no
trees or shelter of any kind, and it is composed solely of white sands
This is the last destination before you go back to camiguin volcano houses
The Guiob Church Ruins was what was left from the old church of the island’s Spanish era
capital called Cotta Bato. It was constructed in the 16th century but it met its destruction a
century later. It surrounded by towering trees and covered by moss, the walls continued to give a
vivid picture of how the old church looked like and how big it was
Day 4
: Ginama means something made with great care and attention. This is also the stage that this
group of tireless champions has set to showcase the hardwork, creativity, talent and artistry, of
the makers and producers of the city of Cagayan De Oro and the rest of the Northern Mindanao.
Visit the Divine Mercy Shrine- While you’re in Cagayan de Oro, make sure to pay a visit to the
Divine Mercy Shrine. The shrine’s most striking landmark is the 50-foot tall statue of Jesus
Christ. However, it’s not just any ordinary statue. The “rays” that radiate from the statue’s body
is actually a staircase that is said to lead the faithful up to Him. The overall depiction is a
spectacular sight to behold, especially during sunrise and sunset. The shrine is located on the
summit of Divine Mercy Hills. At the base of the giant statue is a healing chapel. If you go up
the staircase, you will find a chamber of adoration.
: So here are the best things to do during the trip: scuba diving, jet skiing, snorkeling, swimming,
paddle boarding, and kayaking.
