While a student, received a scholarship to study Modern Dance at Connecticut College
Summer School of Dance, New London, CT.(1966) Also, recommended as a teacher
to the National Music Camp, Interlochen, MI. I taught there during the summers of
1967/8. Performed my own dance, "This Place in the Ways" at the Alumni Concert in
1997. Participated in "Dancing at 100", celebrating a century of Dance at the
University of Michigan (6/09). I performed a site specific dance choreographed by
Jessica Fogel.

Compañeros de Flamenco is a group of Dancers and Musicians that perform the
vibrant art form of Spain, Flamenco. We perform for community events, libraries,
diversity programs, schools and festivals. Notable events include the Detroit Dance
City Festival(2013/4),the opening night of "Carmen" at the Michigan Opera Theater,
Detroit (5/9/09) and Tulipanes Art and Film Festival, Holland, MI (9/12/09). Most
recently, created a Zoom Dance, for the Anton Art Center Virtual Arts Festival, Super
SatARTday, Mt.Clemens (6/13/2020) and performed at the International Festival,
Holland, MI (9/17/2019 & 8/21/2021) and the Detroit Dance City Festival, Detroit (
9/12/2021).

Sep 70 - Teacher of the Pilates Method of Body Conditioning

Present
From 1970-1975 I worked for Carola S. Trier in her Studio for Body Conditioning and
Rehabilitation in New York City. Here I learned and taught the Pilates Method. Since
then, I have taught classes in many different locations and to different populations.
Since 1988, I also teach in my home studio. I teach people of all ages and abilities.
Sessions are private and include work on the Pilates apparatus.

PERFORMING GROUPS
Perform traditional and choreographed dances with Compañeros de Flamenco
2004-2021.

Performed modern and folk-styled dances with the Festival Dancers of the Jewish
Community Center under the direction of Harriet Berg from 1987-2004. Also, I
choreograph for this group. My dances are: "The Wisdom: Memories of My
Grandmother", "The Story of Lilith", "Sarah: Women of the Bible", "Coming to America:
Arriving" Other dances include: "Lament" by Lisa Novak, "Peter and the Wolf" by Cathy
Lichtman, "Skotzl, A Yiddish Folk Tale" by Jessica Fogel, "Always as Before" by Amiel
Malale, Israeli, Yemenite and Eastern European Folk Dance Suites arranged by Harriet
Berg.

Performed Flamenco and Spanish Classical Dance with Maria del Carmen's Grupo
España from 1992-2004.

Founding member of Moore and More Dances from 1996-1999. I choreographed "This
Place in the Ways" and "Stravinsky Unhinged".

Performed with the Madame Cadillac Dancers under the direction of Harriet Berg from
2000-2004, doing the dances of the early French settlers of Michigan.

Worked as a choreographer, dancer/actress and teacher at the Will-O-Way Repertory


Theater under the direction of Celia Merrill Turner from 1979-1985. I choreographed:
"Fiddler on the Roof", "Stop the World", "Cabaret", "Man of La Mancha", "Zorba",
"Gypsy", "Golden Boy", "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", "The
Apple Tree", "Pippin".

Took an inspiring workshop with Mime, Marcel Marceau at the University of Michigan in

Over the last twenty-five years, I have studied Flamenco Dance with Maria del Carmen,
Karen Ostrovitz and Christina Scott.
