because they are now introduced in diffeerent platforms such as cellphones, consoles and

1. We are fashioned by the tools we use, and culture
is the way of life that is imprinted on a group
through its methods.
2. This book is based on my belief that it is now time
for educators to confront the issues that boys face
in English with the same vigor and determination
that they have used to address the problem of girls
in arithmetic.
3. Understanding how each phase of the writing
process works might help you improve your writing
skills by making writing more manageable.
4. Our youth's literacy is a vital issue in society and
education, especially because greater literacy skills
are becoming increasingly necessary to function
properly in society.

significant ideas.
Test 2.
The word caller is able to decipher the words but is unable to comprehend or re
call what they have read.
Resistant readers have the ability to read but choose not to.
But a good heart with good ideas is not the same as a good life lived in
accordance with God's commandments.
Putting our sense of self-worth in the hands of others is a direct violation of
biblical truth.
You can’t define that life is worth living unless you create things to do so.
Learning efficiency and effectiveness are not always dependent on the quantity
of time spent studying.
Intensive reading entails reading multiple books on the same topic and
comparing the contents.

It is indeed a new learning and knowledge implanted on

my mind this grading which is all about conic sections. I
was at first confused on how the standard equations of
each conic sections work but as I go through the lesson I
can say that it really is an amazing journey. It’s difficult
at first because we are talking about mathematics in
here, and not every student is capable of answering
,math problems easily. During this time of pandemic
with the new normal modalities of learning, it is quite a
problem since we can not reach to teachers the same
way as before. But if you have the courage to learn,
then you need to possess the dedication to do so. I now
know how conic sections such as circle, ellipse, parabola
and hyperbola relates into real-life situations. I just
thought how important conic sections are in our day-to-
day actions. Well, to summarize, lessons about conic
sections made me compile another learnings that I
could use in the future.

APPLIED ECONOMICS
1. Google-oligopoly- The Big Tech oligopoly refers to the state of limited
competition guarded by 5 tech market dominators: Facebook, Amazon, Google, Apple
and Microsoft.

2. Apple-oligopoly- Operating systems for

smartphones and computers provide excellent
examples of oligopolies in big tech.
3. Amazon-oligopoly-= The Big Tech oligopoly refers to the state of limited
competition guarded by 5 tech market dominators: Facebook, Amazon, Google, Apple
and Microsoft.
4. Nike-oligopoly- It has close competitors such as Puma, Adidas, and Armour
among others.

5. Netflix-oligopoly -  The reason for that is because Netflix is a paid online

video services and there is only a few company like Amazon and YouTube in this
market.

6. Spotify-oligopoly-there are only few firms

producing products, and has few competitors such
as Apple music and youtube.
7. Microsoft-Oligopoly- a market that is dominated by
several main, powerful businesses.
8. Facebook-oligopoly- The Big Tech oligopoly refers to the state of limited
competition guarded by 5 tech market dominators: Facebook, Amazon, Google, Apple
and Microsoft.

9. NASA-monopoly-characterized by no competition
withing the producing of service.
10. The walt disney company-oligopoly-  characterized by
competition among a small number of large firms that have market power, that must take
their rivals' actions into account when developing their own competitive strategies.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

PERFECT COMPETITION
1. Agriculture:
In this market, products are very similar. Carrots, potatoes, and grain
are all generic, with many farmers producing them. As the product is
homogenous, it is easy to buy some land and farm it. Additionally, it is
also easy to leave the market too. So the market has key signs of
perfect competition.

2. Foreign Exchange Markets:

In this market, traders exchange currencies. As there is only one US Dollar, one
Great British Pound, and one Euro, the product is homogenous. Additionally,
there are many sellers and buyers in the market. Furthermore, it is easy to buy
some currency, and easy to sell it too. With that said, there is an exception in the
fact that traders may not have ‘perfect information’. Normal buyers and sellers
may be at a disadvantage compared to professional traders who do it for a living.
Even so, it is one of the closest examples of perfect competition we can find
today.

MONOPOSLISTIC COMPETITION
1. Fast Food Company
The Fast Food companies like the McDonald and Burger King who sells the
burger in the market are the most common type of example of monopolistic
competition. The two companies mentioned above sell an almost similar type of
products but are not the substitute of each other.
2. Textbook examples of industries with market structures similar to monopolistic
competition include restaurants, cereal, clothing, shoes, and service
industries in large cities. Clothing: The clothing industry is monopolistically
competitive because firms have differentiated products and market power.

MONOPOLY
1. Amazon (AMZN) is considered to be a monopoly because it has
significant control over its third-party sellers and suppliers—if
they want their products to be sold, then they have few options
but to sell them on Amazon’s platform, where a significant
amount of retail business is now done in the world
2. Luxottica – A Company that owns all the major brands of
sunglasses. The Company has bought almost all the
major eyewear brands however, they are still named
differently. This creates an illusion in the mind of the
customer that they have a variety of sunglasses to
choose from although they are all manufactured by one
Company. Luxottica produces more than 80% of the
eyewear worldwide.

OLIGOPOLY
1.The soft drink company Coca-Cola
can be seen as an oligopoly. There
are two companies which control the
vast majority of the market share of
the soft drink industry which is Coca-
Cola and Pepsi.
2. Tesla's work in an oligopoly market which have a limited competition in
which a few producers control the majority of the market share and
typically produce homogenous products.

ENTREPRENEUR

So my profitable business would be customized t-shirt

printing. People nowadays come in trendy and that
includes clothes such as dresses, tees, jackets and t-
shirts. My customized t-shirt printing will allow clients
to select and even customized their own design
according to their own preferences. T-shirt sizes varies
from extra small to extra large and comes in different
colors whatever the buyer wants. I chose this business
because I believe that this will grow eventually because
of the demands of the consumers to be realistically be
part of the trend. Prices vary from 99 pesos to 350
pesos based on the tshirt design and cotton quality.

Assessment 2
Based on the results shown in the interview above, I
could say that yes my profitable business will meet the
customers’ requirements since they prefer to buy things
online that or with full functionality and have some use
to the customers. My customized printing, is not only a
mere tshirt printing but it allows user to interact with
their product and the seller. Clothings are included to
the necessity of mankind and my business were just an
add ons to it. My business would allow my customers
wear the most high quality tshirt with viable and
exquisite designs and could worn according to trends.
Teens and other different age group are allowed to
order as much as they love.
