My Aspire handset is stuck - how do I reset it?

Answer:
Recovering a Stuck Aspire Handset
• Connect the Aspire handset to a computer via a micro usb cable, the computer must
be configured to load handset software. SB-90405571 REV A should be consulted if
the computer needs to be configured.
Figure 1.0 – Handset Connected to Laptop Computer via Micro USB Cable

• Press and hold the top power button and down volume key for approximately 5
seconds until the screen goes blank, release the power button but continue to hold
the down volume button until the bootloader screen appears.
• Once the bootloader screen is shown below proceed to section D, step #3 of SB-
90405571 REV A.
• Follow the directions to load software, you should see similar information printed to
the command prompt.

• One this is complete the handset will automatically reboot, remove the usb cable
and press the bottom right button to see the main screen. The handset should now
be fully operational.
