Installation 2
This scenery has its own independent object library, and no other objects are required.
NOTE: Installing the “CA-CYVR-B-Vancouver Mesh” folder for the mesh is not necessary, and you can
have a significant gain in FPS if you choose not to use it. (Page 6 / 6.2)
✓ To the scenery appear correctly when opening X-Plane, the folder “CA-CYUL-B-Montreal
Mesh” should be "below" the main folder “CA-CYUL-A-Montreal Airport” in the the file
"Scenery_Packs.ini "(X-Plane 11/Custom Scenery/Scenery_Packs.ini otherwise, the terrain
may overlap the Airport and it may not be visible in the simulator. If this has occurred, edit the
"X-Plane 11/Custom Scenery/Scenery_Packs.ini" file with a plain text editor such as WordPad
and make sure that the folders are in the following order:
I
1000 Version
SCENERY
• Include in your scenario package the MisterX "Airport Environment HD 0.9" library,
which is a good replacement for default textures, runways, taxilines and taxi sign.
• Install the following plug-ins in "X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins" folder so that all the animations
work properly.

Winter Textures 3
The scenery package includes a set of winter textures and a summer texture (default) for the
airport. If you choose to use the winter textures you should replace the files in the "Textures" and "images"
folders following the orientation below, always remembering to create a backup of the summer textures
before the process.
• Installation
• Go to “CYUL Winter Textures” folder included in the package, cand copy (crtl+c) the three subfolders
"Textures", "images" and “paving”
• Go to the root “CA-CYUL-A-Montreal Airport” folder and paste (crtl+v) them.
• Uninstalling the winter texture is the reverse, simple copy the folders you backed up "Textures, images and
paving" back to the root folder of the “CA-CYUL-A-Montreal Airport” scenery and make the replacement. The
winter texture for the city of Montreal is independent of the scenery, access the link in the description and follow
the steps for a complete installation of the winter textures in X-Plane 11.
Scenery features 4
✓ Customized runways, lines and taxiways, with ambient occlusion included in the textures.
✓ Ramp Start configured and compatible with WT3 and similar plugins.
Rendering Options 5
✓ This scenery is compatible with the option "runways follow terrain contours" activated, it is advisable
to keep this option enabled.
✓ You can change the amount of objects to be displayed in the scenery in X-Plane settings / "Number of
Objects" field, with "extreme" being the maximum of static objects to be displayed at the Airport. If
you experience loss of performance, it is recommended to use "Tones" or "Mega Tones" for X-Plane
10. In X-Plane 11 recommended and use "Medium"
✓ In the "Airport Detail" option it is recommended to leave in "extreme", making taxiline curves
smoother and with little loss of performance in the X-Plane 10.
✓ The "Real Taxilines library" replaces the standard taxiway lines of the X-Plane. This library is
independent, just remove it from the Custom Scenery folder if you dont want to use it.
✓ All gates work with Jetway Auto Gate. Jetway initiates its animation when aligned with the main door
of the airplane, the pilot activates the parking brake and shuts off the engines, with a tolerance of ½ m
from the correct stop position. At start-up only disengage the parking brake. In the remote positions
the marshalls guide the pilot to the correct stop position.
✓ Ground markings at the gates and in the parking, lot are synchronized with all Marshalls and VGDSs
according to each aircraft, but sometimes they are not 100% accurate.
NOTE: The plug-in needs to know the type of aircraft you are piloting and the location of your main boarding
gate. The plug-in reads this "ICAO code" information and "gateway location" values in the ACF file of the
aircraft you are flying in. If the ACF file does not have this information VDGS will display "FAIL ID" and Jetway
will remain in the retracted position.
✓ Car traffic, link train and other moving objects are controlled by the “GroundTraffic” plugin (Included in
the Scenario) provided by the author Marginal. When arriving at Montreal airport, ground traffic may
be slightly out of line with the route. To correct this just restart the plugin or in the menu "Plugins -
Plugin Admin - Enable/Disable, look for" Ground Traffic v1.52 CA-CYUL-A-Montreal Airport "and disable
and enable again to restart all traffic.
- The ground service of the Airport is controlled by X-Plane 11, it is now included from the
CYULv1.2 version.
- Installation of the “CA-CYVR-B-Vancouver Mesh” folder is not necessary, and you can have a
significant gain in FPS if you choose not to use it. However, with the mesh you will have many more
objects such as buildings, homes and everything that makes up a city, as well as better precision and
detailing of the terrain and mountains. You can also find this and other fabrics in the link below.
http://www.alpilotx.net/downloads/x-plane-10-hd-mesh-scenery-v3/
- Increase the number of objects in X-Plane configurations to obtain a look more filled by the autogen
of the city of Montreal, according to the potential of your equipment.
Note: The number of autogen objects at “maximum” can cause a significant drop in performance, analyze
which configuration best suits your equipment and find a nice balance for the look and your flight

De-Ice System 7
The Airport De-Ice system are configured for only a few aircraft using bays 5 and 8.
Bay 8 (131.375)
• B-738/6/7/8
• A-320/319
• E-190/195
Bay 5 (129.625)
• B-737/300/400
As you approach the bays follow the signboard, and enter the correct bay, depending on which aircraft
you are flying.
As you approach the stop point, (ground mark) you must stop exactly on top of the mark. The De-ice trucks
begin to approach after triggering the parking brake and switching off the engines.
Unfortunately the Guidance can not be used “working” in Montreal's De-Ice system because of its
position, the Guidance distance is too far from the aircraft stop point and the plugin does not reach
that distance.
The pre-positioned trucks start De-icing the aircraft aerodynamic surfaces when you enter the
frequency 131.375 for bay 8 and frequency 129.625 for bay 5 on the VHF radio. The De-icing process of
the aircraft has 3 to 5 minutes average duration, you can stop when you want the animation, turning
the frequency to the solo control of the airport and disengaging the parking brake and starting the
engines again
NOTE: We are still developing the De-Ice system, as it is new to X-Plane, we had some limitations by the platform. We are
researching another outlet regarding the shutdown of the engines. Another detail is the smoke, which due to an X-Plane bug
is not seen in the "white" color. Now with XP 11.30 new particles engine we have a light at the end of the tunnel.

Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (IATA: YUL, ICAO: CYUL) (French: Aéroport international
Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau de Montréal) or Montréal–Trudeau, formerly known as Montréal–Dorval International
Airport (Aéroport international Montréal-Dorval), is an international airport serving Montreal, Quebec, Canada,
located on the Island of Montreal, 20 km (12 mi) from Downtown Montreal. The airport terminals are located
entirely in the suburb of Dorval, while one runway is located in the Montreal borough of Saint-Laurent. Air
Canada, the country's flag carrier, also has its corporate headquarters complex on the Saint-Laurent side of the
airport. It also serves Greater Montreal and adjacent regions in Quebec and eastern Ontario, as well as the
states of Vermont and northern New York in the United States. The airport is named in honour of Pierre Elliott
Trudeau, the 15th Prime Minister of Canada and father of current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The airport is one of two managed and operated by Aeroports de Montreal (ADM), a not-for-profit
corporation without share capital; the other being Montréal–Mirabel northwest of Montreal, which was
initially intended to replace the one in Dorval but now deals almost solely with cargo. Montréal–Trudeau is
owned by Transport Canadawhich has a 60-year lease with Aéroports de Montréal, as per Canada's National
Airport Policy of 1994.
Trudeau is the busiest airport in the province of Quebec and the third-busiest airport in Canada by both
passenger traffic and aircraft movements, with 18.16 million passengers and 235,099 movements in 2017. It is
one of eight Canadian airports with United States border preclearance and is one of the main gateways into
Canada with 11.2 million or 62% of its passengers being on non-domestic flights, the highest proportion
amongst Canada's airports during 2016. It is one of four Air Canada hubsand, in that capacity, serves mainly
Quebec, the Atlantic Provinces and Eastern Ontario. The air route between Montreal and Paris
(CDG and ORY airports) is the busiest international inter-city route from Canada. On an average day, nearly
50,000 passengers transit through Montréal-Trudeau.
Airlines servicing Trudeau offer year-round non-stop flights to five continents, namely Africa, Asia,
Europe, North America and South America. It is one of only two airports in Canada with direct flights to five
continents or more, the other being Toronto Pearson International Airport. Trudeau airport is the headquarters
of and a large hub for Air Canada, the country's largest airline. It is also the headquarters of Air Inuit and Air
Transat, and an operation base for Sunwing Airlines and Porter Airlines. It also plays a role in general
aviation as home to the headquarters of Innotech-Execair, Starlink, ACASS and Maintenance Repair & Overhaul
(MRO) facilities of Air Transat and Air Inuit. Transport Canada operates a Civil Aviation Maintenance, Repair
and Overhaul facility on site, with a fleet of Government owned and operated civil aircraft. Bombardier
Aerospace has an assembly facility on site where they build regional jets and Challenger business jets.
