KITCHEN TOOLS AND EQUIPMENTS


AND THIER USES
 A kitchen utensil is a small hand held tool used for food
preparation. Common kitchen tasks include cutting food items to size,
heating food on an open fire or on a stove, baking, grinding, mixing,
blending, and measuring; different utensils are made for each task. 

 A general purpose utensil such as a chef's knife may be used for a


variety of foods; other kitchen utensils are highly specialized and may be
used only in connection with preparation of a particular type of food, such
as an egg separator or an apple corer. 

 Some specialized utensils are used when an operation is to be


repeated many times, or when the cook has limited dexterity or mobility.
The number of utensils in a household kitchen varies with time and the
style of cooking.

 A cooking utensil is a utensil for cooking. Utensils may be


categorized by use with terms derived from the word
"ware": kitchenware, wares for the kitchen; ovenware and bakeware,
kitchen utensils that are for use inside ovens and for baking; cookware,
merchandise used for cooking; and so forth.
A kitchen tool that has a long handle and
short,soft blade and that is used especially
for mixing,spreading,etc.; a kitchen tool
similar to a knife that has a flexible blade
and that is used for mixing,spreading,etc.

SPATULA

Used for cutting thinner slices of roast


,fruit and vegetables.

KNIFE
This is a durable board on which the
material to be cut is placed.kitchen cutting
boards are often made of wood or plastic
there are also chopping boards made of
glass, steel or marble which are easier to
clean than wooden or plastic ones, but
tend to damage.

MICROWAVE WITH THE BENEFITS
OF TRADITIONAL OVEN COOKING .

THIS IS A HAND-HELD MIXING


DEVICE AS THE NAME IMPLIES.THE
MODERN ELECTRICALLYPOWERED
TYPE CONSISTS OF OF A HANDLE
MOUNTED OVER A LARGE
ENCLOSURE CONTAINING THE
MOTOR,WHICH DRIVES ONE OR
TWO BEATERS.THE BEATERS ARE
IMMERSED IN THE FOOD TO BE
MIXED.
HAND MIXER
A rice cooker or rice steamer is an
automated kitchen appliance designed to
boil or steam rice. It consists of a heat
source, a cooking bowl, and a thermostat.
The thermostat measures the temperature
of the cooking bowl and controls the heat.

COOKING FOR SEPARATING
LIQUIDS AND SOLIDS .IT IS MUCH
LIKE A STRAINER AND
CONVENTIONALLY MADE OF A
LIGHT METAL,SUCH AS
ALUMINUM OR THINLY ROLLED
STAINLESS STEEL.A COLANDER IS
PIERCED WITH A PATTERN OF
SMALL HOLES OR SLOTS IN
PLASTIC COLANDERS THAT LET
COLANDER THE LIQUID DRAIN THROUGH,BUT
RETAINS THE SOLID INSIDE.
A frying pan is used for frying foods over
moderate to high heat so they should be
thick enough to conduct heat evenly.
There are several sizes available and they
are generally round in shape.

FRYING PAN

A kitchen utensil that is used to open or


remove the top from a metal can. There
are a wide variety of different designs
available ranging from manually operated
small tools to automated openers that
quickly and easily remove the top of the
can.
