chosen brand: Realme

Realme is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer headquartered in Beijing. The


company was founded on May 4, 2018 by Sky Li ( 李炳忠 ; Li Bingzhong), who
was former vice president of Oppo. Realme also produces a wide variety of
other products such as earphones, wireless earphones, T-shirts, bags, fitness
bands, smartwatches etc.

brief history:

Realme first appeared in China in 2010 with the name "OPPO Real". It was a
sub-brand of Oppo (which is itself a subsidiary of BBK Electronics) until its
formation as a spinoff on May 4, 2018. Oppo did not specify whether it had
transferred its participation in Realme to BBK. In May 2018, they released their
first phone, Realme 1. On July 30, 2018, former Oppo Vice President and Head
of Oppo's Overseas Department, Sky Li, announced his official resignation from
Oppo and his intention to establish Realme as an independent brand on Weibo.
With the company slogan "Dare to Leap", he declared that in the future, the
Realme brand would focus on providing mobile phones with solid performance
and stylish design, offering young people a joyful life with affordable
"technology" and "beauty". On 15 November 2018, Realme adopted a new logo.
On November 22, 2018, Realme became the No. 1 emerging brand in the Indian
market. On May 15, 2019, Realme held its first conference in Beijing to
officially enter the Chinese domestic market, launching the Realme X, Realme
X Lite and Realme X Master Edition. In June 2019, Realme officially
announced its entry into the European market. On June 26, 2019, Realme
released its first photo taken with its 64MP camera.By July 2019, Realme had
successfully entered 20 markets, including China, South Asia, Southeast Asia
and Europe. According to a report from the international analyst institution
Counterpoint, Realme recorded shipping 4.7 million units worldwide in the
second quarter of 2019, which is an 848% year-on-year increase, and has
become one of the top 10 mobile phone manufacturers in the world. By August
2019, Realme had surpassed 10 million users worldwide. In August 2019,
Realme showed a prototype device with a quadruple 64MP camera in China
and India.

Realme smartphone

Villain: Low feature and capacity yet expensive phones

Explanation: There's some phone that has limited and low features but the
prices is high because it is latest and new to the market. The only thing that
gives us by this is frustration. It is the villain of the story the new emerging
brands or version that actually don't have a high quality and feature but it is in
sticking wall called trends.

External: I need a phone.

Explanation: It is the external problem of the story, which is pretty obvious


but as a guide we are here to offer them solution to their problem. That is a
problem that we brand needs to tend but not actually the real reason of the
customer. The exact reason lies inside.

Internal: I want my phone to give me satisfaction in quality and features but


affordable one.

Explanation: It is the internal problem of the story; this is the exact reason of
the customer. The frustration of the customers about the external problem. It
is hard to tell what is the internal problem of the customer but once you know
the external problem it will give you clues what lies ahead.

Philosophical: I don't need to waste a high amount of money just to


experiences satisfaction that I craving for.

Explanation: This is where my brand will bloom like a flower to the scene, that
ought to give the best solution to the problems the hero facing. the hero will
doubt first but we believe that they need some old fashion clickbait which is
the evidence of our excellent product that will surely give them satisfaction that
they desire.

Storybrand Phrase:

"The Affordable Phone That You Deserves"


Explanation:

Our brand aims to help our customer, give them the satisfaction as best way
possible but not sabotaging the prices. We created a phone that has a high
quality, latest features and ideal phone to everyone yet in an affordable price.
We want them to taste what they really deserve and how our brand value the
customer.
