Getting Balance value from Period 00
This question has been Answered.

Hi BW gurus,

The scenario: Currently in a BW system, that does not has 0FIGL_C12. In order to get Line Item
value, we go by using Older version of the extractor (0FI_GL_4) which eventually load to 0FIGL_O02,
we then create an InfoCube > Multiprovider to do Reporting.

0FIGL_O02 it is using Debit/Credit Local Currency (0DEB_CRE_LC), it doesn't have 0SALES nor
0BALANCE.
We can create a Cumulative Balance amount by adding all the Cumulative YTD figure and so on.

What we need to know is that:-

1. How to determine whether 0FIGL_O02 have period 00 or not?

2. In order to get Balance sheet Item correctly, we need to include period 00 to get the real
BalanceSheet Item, is there a way to do this?

3. Do we need to use 0BALANCE to include period 00?

Any idea /suggestion on how to find period 00 in a cube, and also period 00 works would be greatly
appreciated.

Vincent do you use new GL or OLD?


If new you can use 0FI_GL_14 as you are using GL_10 which extracts the cumulative balance
GL_4 is detail movement you wont get period 00 there.

You can have a design by combining gl_10 and gl_4 also


Bad design if you just want to use line items datasource.
