Understanding The Self 2

Our experiences have a profound impact on the type of person we become. As we develop from childhood into adulthood, our experiences shape our beliefs, attitudes, personality traits, and behaviors. Each stage of psychosocial development involves essential experiences that influence our understanding of ourselves. While the environment, personal factors, and behavior all impact human development, some argue that personal factors may have a more powerful influence, as they encompass our unique attributes, assumptions, and beliefs.

on our personalities. But that doesn't mean we have to live with them. Later in life, we
establish beliefs that are less inflexible and can be modified with little effort. Because we
have all been through a range of events that have formed who we are and who we
become, our experiences impact who we are and who we become. What we become is
shaped by our experiences. Our life experiences mold who we are, influencing our
thoughts, attitudes, and actions, as well as our personality traits. We developed as
individuals as a result of our experiences. Today's encounters were generally similar to
those we've had in the past.

Personal experiences are usually more profound. We hold on to them for a longer
period because we have personally endured them, as opposed to those conceived by
other people's personal experiences or opinions, which change over time and are based
on our personal experiences on that subject. Suppose you think about how your
experiences have shaped your beliefs and influenced you.
