Project Assignment - KM21102 - 2021-I

This document outlines a project assignment for a Thermodynamics Engineering course. Students will be assigned to design, fabricate, and test a simple device to convert heat into mechanical work from any heat source. They must write a report up to 10 pages following the specified format and content sections. The report will be evaluated based on the group's ability to demonstrate their design and findings creatively as well as the quality of the engineering analysis, solution, and conclusions presented in the report. Students will work in groups of up to 5 members.

SEMESTER : SEM I-20/21
LECTURER : MOHD SUFFIAN BIN MISARAN @ MISRAN

Project Summary : Converting heat to work

The project goal is to study the conversion of heat into work from a heat source.
Your group is to design, fabricate and test a simple solution to generate mechanical work from
any heat source in a safe environment. Write a report detailing your design, experimental work
and outcome of your design. The report should have the following content;
(a) Heading
● The title of the report
● Name of your group members
Table of contents
(b) Introduction:
● Overview of the topic
● Your motivation and objectives of your study
(c) Body of Report:
● Detail of the topics. Use figures, flow charts etc. to support the explanations
(d) Conclusion
