INTRODUCTION OF MY SELF.

My name is Hasya Izati. I am 19 years old. I have newly graduated from College
Professional Mara Bandar Penawar with excellent results in a Diploma in Accounting.
First of all thank you for giving me the opportunity to interviewed for this position
today. I would describe myself as a hardworking person, self motivated, disciplined
and someone who enjoys working with others to achieve challenging tasks and
projects. I am very enjoy working in the positive environment and I can adapt the
changes of environment quickly. I am a fast learner and like to learnt the new things
and I also can manage a significant work load.
Outside of work I always keep myself fit and active by doing fitness and exercise
such as jogging, cycling and others. I relax myself by reading books and listening to
the music. I also like to spend time with my family.
LASTLY, I understand you are interviewing lots of people for this position but if you
hire me for this position, I will work hard to help this company to achieve the goals.

MY STRENGTH AND WEAKNESS

My strength is that I am Able to manage and find a way out for complex and
unexpected situations.Problem solving skills consist of a group of skills that help to
identify problems, suggest solutions, choose the best, and implement them. The
ability to solve problems is a basic and essential life skill for our daily lives, at home,
at school, and at work. We solve problems every day without really thinking about
how we solve them. In a rapidly changing global economy, employers often identify
solutions to everyday problems critical to the success of their organizations. For
employees, problem solving can be used to develop practical and creative solut ions,
and to show independence and initiative to employers.
For example, while my friend and I are doing group assignments, we run into
problems when we are confused as to which formula to use to solve an accounting
question. We could not find our way and stuck at the question. But it was I who took
action and tried to solve the problem. I found what was the main question in the
query, tried to find a way out in the book and identify the appropriate format to use
and set aside the irrelevant solution and suggested the solution and I chose the best
one and implemented the solution. I finally found the best solution to the problem.
To solve a problem we need to have the courage to decide whether to do this or
that because the result is influenced by the decision we make.

Problem-solving skills for accountants are very important because the business is
full of problems that need to be solved. and almost all business problems affect
finances. Therefore an accountant with problem -solving skills is invaluable. I believe
I can use these problem solving skills towards the success of your company.
My weakness is that I find myself very difficult to ask for help from others. I will try
my best to solve it on my own even if it is very difficult. I would have asked for help
if I really really didn’t know about it. This is because I don’t want others to be
burdened with my problems. This is because other people have a lot of tasks and
work to complete instead of helping me.
When I have a problem, I always try to find out for myself. However, I understand it
would be better to get advice and help from others who are more understanding and
experienced. I am taking step to improve my weaknesses.
1. What personal criteria do you consider is essential to this position? Why
do you think that is the most essential? Do you have this essential quality?
For me the personal criteria that is essential for this position is communication skills.
I think it is because accountant need to communicate with many people. An
accountant must be able to work with individuals from different areas of a company
to get more information to prepare finance statement and others statement related
to finance. So, they need to work well and communicate effectively with other
people in the company. Accountant also need to present about company’s finance to
company members so I think an accountant need to be good communicator to
deliver their message with confidence so that everyone can understand.
I think I have this personal criteria because when I work as a Customer Service
Assistant, I need to serve customer that I don’t know who they ARE. So I need to
interact with them to satisfied their needs. So I think I have the abilities to
communicate and interact with others.

2. The material benefits of working in the private sector greatly outweigh

the heavy work load and high stress level. Is that why you still want to
work in a private sector?
I still want to work in the private sector even though it gives more workload and
high-stress levels. For me, a lot of work can be settled if we are able to manage it
well. Besides that, stress can be reduced and control in the right ways. I am willing
to spend my time in the private sector moreover I am still young and don't have
much commitment so I will fulfil my time to work.

Why I choose private sector emm, it is because private sector paid highest salaries
than the government sector. Jobs in the private sector have more potential for salary
growth. It's easier in private sector companies for an employee to move up because
the company makes these decisions internally instead of following a set of rules and
regulations. Private-sector employees have the opportunity to improve their skills
sets and progress in their careers much more quickly. Besides that, the private
sector has many more career options than the public sector. That’s because there
are so many more job functions that are available.
3. What do you believe are the common characteristics of highly
successful people? Do you consider yourself one of them?
I believe the common characteristics of highly successful people is passion. When
we do something, we need a passion to do it. If someone wants to achieve a goal,
they need to care about what they are doing. Passion can be energizing and can
help motivate you even when it’s hard to cope. The passion we have towards
something will push us to achieve the success we want. Passion cannot be faked. If
we don’t have the passion, we will do things carelessly. With the passion we have,
we will do something with hard work and not give up on whatever we face. When
we work with something we love, it is easier for us to give our full energy to it.

I think I consider myself one of the people who have a passion when doing
something. I am really interested in the accounting field. When I was in college,
even though the online class is very difficult and many subjects that I learned is
difficult I still take it and do it until the end. Even sometimes it is very hard for me,
but I have a passion to be an accountant, I still do it and ensure I get good results
in examination to be a successful accountant. I think if I don't have a passion to be
an accountant, I will quit my studies.

4. If you find yourself doing more marketing job instead of the job
specification you have expected, what would be your reaction?
My reaction is I will accept it with an open heart. It is because I have experience as
a Customer Service Assistant which gives me the duty to advertise our products to
customers. Besides that, I also learned subjects related to marketing when I study
accounting, which is business management and entrepreneurship. So it is not a big
problem for me to do a marketing job and I can learn new knowledge about
marketing. But as a fresh graduate in the accounting field, I hope I will work in that
field because I want to gain more experience and knowledge in the accounting field.

5. What do you consider your most outstanding qualities that make you
the best candidate for this position?

I think the best quality that makes me the best candidate for this position is that I
can work even under pressure. I can still submit the work before the deadline, even
if the deadline is around the corner. I was able to focus on doing my job even
though my emotions were unstable and I was under a lot of stress. In life, there are
many things that are not in our control. If things don’t go as planned, I can maintain
a calm demeanor and stay focused on what needs to be done to achieve the goal.
To be an accountant, we have to manage and complete a lot of work, it will give
more stress and pressure, but I am able to manage and complete work of what
needs to be done.
For example, when I was in college, I had a lot of stress when one assignment was
accompanied by another assignment and had to be submitted on the same date and
I had a lot of classes and homework. But I was still able to complete and submit
assignments despite a lot of pressure.

• HOW YOU HANDLE STRESS

Actually, I really prefer to work under stressful or pressure conditions because this is
when I am at my best. But, first thing that I do when I was stress, I will take a
break and go to wash my face to feel fresh. And then I will okey and I can continue
and focus on my work or task. Basically, I don’t need a long time to heal my stress,
it just takes 15 minutes-20 minutes for me to release my stress. Besides that, if I am
stress when I do two job at once, I handled my stress with created a list of what
needed to be done and by what timescale, and I will focus intently on each task
without any distractions.
I also handle stress and pressure by making sure I keep myself fit and healthy. I eat
well and doing exercise 3 times a week. By doing this things, it enables me to
maintain optimum concentration levels at work.

• YOU WANT TO FURTHER STUDIES OR NOT, IF WANT WHERE YOU

WANT IPTA OR IPTS
I think after this I will further my studies in Degree in Accounting. Inshaalah, if I
have the opportunity, I will continue my studies at IPTA. Why I choose IPTA, this is
because, IPTA saves money with affordable tuition fees. After that I chose IPTA
because there are many loans and scholarships that sponsor IPTA students. So I
wanted to grab the opportunity to get a scholarship. Apart from that, I chose IPTA
because many IPTAs in Malaysia have the highest ranking in the world such as UM,
USM, UKM and others. Maybe I will choose USM to further my studies because I
want to have the experience of studying far away from home, outside Johor. Lastly,
I chose IPTA because IPTA has a higher graduate marketability than IPTS.
Nowadays employers demand to take students from USM, UM, UKM because
students from there have high academic quality. So if I choose IPTA, after this I will
easily get a job opportunity.
 • HAVE YOU GET TRAINING RELATED WITH THE POSITION THAT YOU
APPLY IN COLLEGE
Yes, before this I had the experience of attending accounting seminars in my
college. In that seminar, I learned a lot about accounting skills. I learned to use
Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets. I also learned how to record information from
documents to a computer. This seminar also helped me in mathematical skills. This
improved my skills in maths. As we know, accounting also requires excellent
mathematical skills as there are many uses of numbers and mathematical equations
in it. This seminar helped me how to work like a real employee. This is because
when we work, the situation is very different from what we learn. In exams, as
students we will do the task according to the format in the book but in our
workplace as employees we have to use our own skills in completing the task. With
the knowledge, skills that I gain, I can use all the knowledge to make a positive
contribution towards the success of your company.

• WHY I CHOOSE YOUR COMPANY AND WHY I WANT THIS JOB

Before I applied for this job, I did some research on your company and I am very
interested in this company. I chose to work with your company because it is one of
the e-commerce platforms in Malaysia.
I also attracted with your strong record track of achievement, the fact you are
always changing and innovating and because you encourage employees to improve,
develop and grow professionally.
Also, I really want this job because it’s important for me to work in an environment
that allows me to grow, where I can learn from experience and skilled colleagues
and where I can gain a solid foundation for the future.

• THE CHALLENGES WHEN I STUDYING IN COLLEGE

The challenge as I studied was that I had to adjust to the new place. I was a bit
awkward to fit into a new place. But once I had a lot of friends and had good friends
I was able to adjust to the situation. Moreover I am a very talkative and friendly
person. Although it was difficult for me to adapt to a new place but it only took me
2-3 days to adapt to the new environment. In fact in order to adapt to a new
environment we need to make friends with others by way of communicating with
others such as asking for their names, and introducing ourselves to them. I feel after
this I am awkward and hard to adjust to my workplace but I believe after 2 days I
will not feel awkward anymore because I am friendly and able to communicate with
my co -workers.
 • SALARY EXPECTATIONS
Before the interview today, I carried out some research to establish the average
salary range for this job within this industry. This salaries is suitable for this position
and fresh graduate like me. So I am happy with this salary. Actually it is enough to
me because as a fresh graduate I don’t have much commitment. But I believe the
big company like you will grow your workers salary fast based on the qualities and
efficiency of your workers. I believe, based on my hard working nature, my ability
to get up and running quickly in the role, and my commitment to your company
brand, you will soon see a positive return on your investment.
