Histoire Du Train

The train was invented over 200 years ago and was initially powered by steam engines, which lacked power. In the early 1900s, trains became electric through the use of overhead wires and specialized equipment. Different types of trains later emerged, including passenger trains for transporting people in cars pulled by locomotives over long or short distances. Freight trains also developed for transporting goods using specialized wagons.

Trevithick .The first train was built with steel and wood .
The first pictures of a train is in the 14 century , it was used
by minors in Alsace to charge coal and bring bach to the
surface . The minors must push the wagon because this
train dosen’t have motors .

After that the steam train was created but the probleme is this steam
train dosen’t have any much power to move faster , so we used horse to help
the steam train who is not so powerfull.
He was cretead because of the needed of the industrial revolution.

In 1827 the French government received a request for a concession for

the construction of a railway line from Saint-Étienne to Andrézieux, ie 21 km.
Completed in July 1827, this line allows the transport of coal between the
mines of Saint-Étienne and the banks of the Loire.

powerfull electic motors .He also used today but he need a third rail who gave
electricity to the train and specifique equipement .

The interwar period saw the emergence of diesel locomotives and then
gradually diesel locomotives in the post-war period.

The different type of train

Passager Train : She was composed of one or more

locomotives and one or more cars. There are high-speed
trains made up of specific equipment and running mainly
on specially constructed or adapted lines.Transport
trains are often adapted to the distances to be covered
and to the period of transport. They can integrate cars
for the restoration, relaxation or sleep of passengers. For example, for
overnight trips you can take a night train or a self-train service that allows you
to transport your vehicle with you.For commuting around a metropolis, the
operating company operates suburban trains. They are equipped to cope with
rush hour traffic: many doors and standing rooms. In order to ensure
transport in the very heart of cities, the metro or tramway is used.

The Freight Trains : Freight

trains include wagons or passenger
equipment to be conveyed in the
same direction. There are types of
specialized wagons depending on
the goods to be transported, such as
tank car, dump truck, covered
wagon, flat, etc. More and more
frequently, a freight train is made up
of wagons of the same type (hydrocarbon train, cereal train, etc.).
