Exam Reminders:

 Any form of cheating will result in a score of ZERO. (e.g., leaking of exam items and answers on social media, copying from
other students, using prohibited resources/cheat sheets, etc.)

1. Create a simple class record in Excel.


2. Type in texts based on the table below.

3. Merge the following groups of cells:
 A2, A3, A4
 D2, E2, F2
 G2, H2, I2
 J2, K2, L2, M2, N2
 O2, P2
 Q2, R2
4. Make all texts in rows 1 to 4 in boldface and apply borders (All Borders) to rows 2 to 5.
5. Apply formulas based on the table below.

F5 =AVERAGE(D5/D4*50+50; E5/E4*50+50)
I5, N5 Refer to the formula used in F5.
P5 Divide O5 by O4 then multiply by 50 and add 50.
Q5 =SUM(F5*10%; I5*10%; N5*50%; P5*30%)
6. Format Q5 to display grade with only two (2) decimal places.
7. Display Passed in R5 if the grade is 74.5 or higher; otherwise, show Failed.
8. Freeze columns B and C.
9. Rename Sheet1 as Prelim. Create four (4) copies of this worksheet for Midterm, Pre-final, Final, and Summary.
Change the text of B1 in each of these worksheets appropriately.
10. For the Summary worksheet, change B1’s text to Summary. Delete all the columns after C.
11. On cells D4 to I4, type the following in order: Prelim (20%), Midterm (20%), Pre-final (20%), Final (40%), Final Grade,
and Remarks.
12. Display the four (4) periodic grades by referencing cells from other worksheets.
13. Show the final grade in H5 and display Passed or Failed in I5.
