ACTIVITY: MAJOR MINOR QUEST

Practice building both major and minor chords on these root


notes.

WAYS TO PLAY:
• Close your eyes and point. Build a
major and then a minor chord on
that root note. Repeat!
• Roll a dice, move across the board,
then build a major and minor chord
based on that root note
• Hint: Remember, some minor chords
(Am, Em, Dm) use all white keys.
Count half steps to build your chords
– don’t rely on the color of the keys!
• Practice playing just major and minor
thirds on that root note.
