My phone has become an extension of myself over the past 4 years. It contains many memories from my 15th birthday when I first received it as a gift. All my accounts, photos, videos, assignments and notes are stored on the phone, so it feels like a best friend and diary. During the pandemic, it has helped me communicate with others and avoid boredom. Though it is just an object, the phone holds important memories and has become integral to my daily life.

Possession becomes part or an extension of self. Take a photo of your personal possession and
discuss why you believe it is an extension of yourself.

We all have a possession which became an extension of our selves. Some of us are being so
sentimental in our things that even if their have a new version of that item, we still wanted our
old things like we cannot let go of it because it reminds us of so many memories that we had.

So, my possession that became an extension of myself is my smart phone. I’ve been using my
phone for 4 years now. and even if there are so many versions and upgrades of my phone
model, I still can’t let go of it easily because it reminds me of many memories that I had. I
remember when I first bought it, it is my 15 th birthday, and my mom gave it to me as a
birthday present. Of course, I’m so glad that she bought me this phone because this is the first
time that I will be using an iPhone, and this is my dream phone back then my phone contains
so many memories and information like my accounts, pictures, videos, all the lists of my
assignments, my planner, and every time I’m having a bad day, I always wrote on my note app
about what bothers me. my phone is like my best friend, my diary, and my other half. Not to
be exaggerating things but I’m telling the truth. if ever my phone will become a person, it
might know everything about me personally. In addition, every time I woke up, I always check
my hone immediately to check for my schedule, what quizzes and activities I should do, and
my phone became a big part in this pandemic since we cannot go outside, this helps me to kill
the time and avoiding me from boredom. It also helps me to communicate and still be in touch
with my friends and with my relatives that isn’t with me, and we all know that gadgets
nowadays ha a big role in everyone of us. This makes my life go easier and faster. Whenever I
wanted to buy or bought something for myself, I can easily go to Lazada or Shopee for online
shopping and whenever I am hungry, do can do food deliveries. Those are the thigs that I did
with my phone and even if I experience lagging and sometimes it irritates me, I still want my
phone.
Furthermore, though it is just a thing it became so much means to us because we became
used of having them in our lives and it gives us memories that we will never forget even we
replaced them with something new. Even if it is a happy memories or sad memories, it will
remind us that our possession is our other half and in the end of the day, we will seek of that
for our comfort. And being a sentimental person no matter how much or what worth the
material things is, we will appreciate it because it is an extension of ourselves.
