My Experience in time of Pandemic

When the pandemic started and began to spread around the world, there are a lot of things
that happened and changed. Due to the very contagious disease, the government was forced to
set a policy in order to lessen the number of people being infected.

Traveling was then restricted, I even saw how the roads were almost became empty
because public vehicles was ordered to be temporarily ban. School classes was cancelled,
teachers and students was also forced to go home, and I remember way back 2019 I was in my
last year of being a senior high. I can say that things didn’t get smoothly but I can tell that all
those hardships that I’ve been through are all worth it. Countless nights of not having enough
sleep because there’s a lot of what ifs in my mind, what if I fail this semester? And those what ifs
become a habit as pandemic takes place that it affect the way I lived and study. Pandemic is
really a tiring moment, not only for a student like me but also to all the instructors. I got
saddened by the thought that we will not be able to march on the stage. But all of these thoughts
fade away as I received my awards at home and graduated with I can say a satisfying grades. But
during those days, the school premises was in totally lockdown, unsure when will be the classes
will continue because as days goes by I saw in the news how this pandemic spread rapidly
around the world and how it also affects and changed our lives. Many questions are running
through my mind, such as, what will be the life of every family in this time of pandemic? When
and how will the pandemic end? Are we able to live in this pandemic without having a job and
salaries that we can use in our everyday living and expenses?

Many people loses their jobs because almost all the industries have closed their
companies and businesses. The rating of the economy has dropped drastically for the reason that
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease and people are afraid to be
infected because this disease is fatal. But, despite of all those things and cautions that people did
to prevent getting the virus, I saw thousands of people still can’t avoid getting infected because
there are a lot of people who were stubborn and tried to escape and go home to their families
without knowing that it will only cause them big problem. Covid-19 have spread rapidly around
the world and millions of people have died. Vaccinations were made and people are hoping that
this will be the cure to prevent the spreading of this virus.

Since people are in a lockdown, we are now having the new mode of learning. At first, I
was hesitant if we are capable of learning online, online class might be easier I guessed but I also
thought about those people who can not afford to buy their own gadgets since it is the very
important tool to attend our classes for online class. We cannot deny the fact that the new mode
of learning is giving us a hard time to understand our lessons. We face many problems like
power interruption and poor network connection. There was always a time when I got too late to
pass my activities due to poor signal, what worse is that I also didn’t able to submit my exam one
time. To think that it is a very important thing to submit. I have also seen and hear news about
students committing suicide because they can’t cope up with the activity given by the instructor
and too pressure to continue this kind of set up in studying.

In this time of pandemic, I have learned many things in life. Like giving time and
importance to our families and friends because life’s too short. We should treasure what we have
now and don’t forget to take care always. Saving money, and believing to God that nothing is
impossible. I also learned that in every problem we must always pray to God and always
continue stepping forward in our journey in this life.
