As a nursing student, through science and technology I am able to learn interesting and fun
things that I can use in the future. And as a nursing student in this pandemic, face to face class is
not allowed, but thanks to science and technology I am still able to learn with the use of online
classrooms, and It made it possible for me to connect with my teachers, classmates, friends, and
family. Also, as an individual it made some things easier for me, since almost all things are just

2. No, according to the previous lesson science and technology already begun in the Spanish
period and continued under the American rule of the island. But science in the American period
was inclined towards agriculture, food processing, forestry, medicine and pharmacy. Not
much focus was given on the development of industrial technology due to free trade
policy with the United States which nurtured an economy geared towards agriculture and
trade.
3. a paradigm shift is defined as "an important change that happens when the usual way
of thinking about or doing something is replaced by a new and different way." An
example of this in the field of nursing  the shift from the overly narrow
millennium development goals to more inclusive sustainable development
goals (SDGs) for global health in the 21st century

millennium development goals only targets the developing countries, the SDGs apply
to all countries whether rich, middle or poor countries. The SDGs are also
nationally-owned and country-led, wherein each country is given the freedom to
establish a national framework in achieving the SDGs
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 to
replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). They contain 17 goals covering a broad
range of sustainable development issues for the world, such as ending poverty, hunger,
improving health and education, combating climate change, etc
: Ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all ages, and clearly nursing has a major role to
play in relation to SDG 3
