Intro

Watch my video explanation on this. In 1902, in the arabic only book, "Ijaz ul Ahmadi", MGA
and his team began to use the Quranic verse, 23:50 to argue that Esa (as) traveled to Kashmir and
was given refuge as such. Before 1902, in the 1882-1884 era, MGA and his team of writers were
indirectly denying the miracles of Esa (as), however, they didn't comment specifically on 23:50,
instead, they commented on 3:49 and totally denied all the miracles of Esa (as). Nevertheless,
NO scholars in Islam have ever written such a thing, its a total lie. 100% of the scholars on Islam
had always connected 23:50 (23:51 in the Qadiani Quran) with the birth of Esa (As), in fact, the
verse start off explaining how Mary and Esa (as) were made as a sign. The sign was the
miraculous birth of Esa (as) without a man, this is unanimously accepted by 100% of the
scholars of Islam. Furthermore, the verse explains how both Mary and Esa (as) were given
refuge on an elevated land wherein there were valleys, water springs and water flows. When we
check the classic Tafsir's on Islam, Suyuti, Ibn Kathir, Tabari, Ibn Abbas and etc, they all
confirm that this verse is in relation to the birth of Esa (as) and they give the location as
Damascus and the flatlands around it. Thus, this is just another embellishment of the Mirza
family. Furthermore, Ahmadi writers began to assert that Yuz Asaf=Jesus. Ahmadi's also believe
that Mary was buried in Pakistan as it borders with Azad Kashmir, since they knew it wasn't just
Esa (As) who was given refuge, but also Mary.

Finally, Rabwah is the Arabic word used to describe where refuge was given to Mary and Esa
(As), In 1948, Ahmadi's used this word to name their private city in Pakistan, however, by 1997
or so, it was officially changed to Chenab Nagar. One last thing, both main groups of Ahmadi's,
Lahori's and Qadiani's reject the miraculous birth of Esa (As). The Lahori-Ahmadi's say that Esa
(as)'s biological father was Joseph, and the Qadiani's call Mary a type of hermaphrodite and thus
call it a normal occurrence (nauzobillah), thus, they both violate this verse of the Quran. Also see
19:16 of the Quran all the way to 19:34, thus, the birth of Esa (as) as related in 23:50 is always
connected to 19:16-34.

In 1996, Mirza Tahir Ahmad told Ahmadi's that even if this grave is not that of Eisa (as), it
makes no difference. Mirza Tahir Ahmad knew that MGA used 23:50 in terms of Yuz Asaf=
Eisa (as), however, he chose to downplay that. This was never stated before him. Watch the full
video here. Mirza Tahir Ahmad did this since he had heard that Suzanne Olsson (check out her
facebook page) was planning on conducting DNA testing on the Yuz Asaf grave site. Mirza
Tahir Ahmad got scared and began planning for a situation wherein "if" it was proven that the
body and gravesite were less than 500 years old. You can listen to Suzanne Olsson herein
explaining how she had gotten permits from the government of India, however, abruptly, it was
all stopped. There is also a video of local Kashmiri's who claim that Yuz Asaf came from Egypt
and is not Eisa (As). You can watch the full video herein, its from Bj Witelus' youtube channel.

"""Then, in a way, you determine God Almighty to be a liar, because God says that after the
event of the cross He settled ‘Isa and his mother on an elevated piece of land with pristine
running water, i.e. springs flowed in it; it was a place affording great comfort and quite like
Paradise, as God says:

Surah al-Mu’minun, 23:51

That is: After the episode of the cross, which was a great calamity, We granted ‘Isa and his
mother refuge in a great elevated land, which was a place of great comfort with pleasant tasting
water; i.e. the land of Kashmir.

If you have even the slightest knowledge of the Arabic language, you would be aware that the
term ‫[ ٰاوی‬awa] is used only on such an occasion where one is provided refuge after having been
rescued from a disaster. This usage can be found throughout the Holy Quran, Arabic sayings,
and the ahadith. In addition, the Word of God Almighty proves that during the entire life of
Hadrat ‘Isa , peace be upon him, the cross was the only calamity that befell him. And it is proven
from the hadith that it was this very incident which aggrieved Maryam [Mary] the most during
her entire life. Hence, this verse proclaims loudly that after the incident of the cross, God
rescued Hadrat ‘Isa from this calamity and took him away from that dangerous country and
settled him in some other country where springs of clear water flowed and which was situated on
elevated ground. The question now is whether there is a highland in Heaven where springs of
clear water flow and where, after the incident of the cross, God Almighty caused Hadrat Masih
and his mother to settle. Reflect upon the life history of Hadrat Masih and cite an example where
having suffered a misfortune he was provided refuge in a country that was as calm and serene as
Paradise and situated on elevated ground above the rest of the world and having springs flowing
in it.""""

The second edition of Satt Bachan (1895) is published with many footnotes. A major footnote
refers to MGA mistakenly writing that Eisa (As)'s tomb was in Sham (Syria). In 1902, this was
stated as Eisa (as)'s first tomb, and that Eisa (as) escaped from this tomb, and that MGA hadn't
realized this until later. MGA and his team of writers admitted that MGA gave statements about
the tomb of Eisa (as) in Syria without a full realization of facts, which is against hadith, in fact,
Muhammad (saw) claimed that anyone who gives statements without knowing the facts for sure
is a munafiq (hypocrite).

"'Verses of the Holy Quran are also cited in support of the assertion that Jesus was obliged to
take refuge in some other country. Especially, 23:52 (this is an error by the editor, it should be
23:50) is advanced as contained a plain reference to his flight. It runs as follows: "And we gave
Son of Mary and his mother a refuge on a lofty place which was secure and watered with
springs". This is alleged is a clear description of Cashmere. It is further clear that the word awa
used in this verse signifies the giving of refuge at the time of some great danger, and with the
exception of crucifixtion no event of great misfortune or danger to Jesus is recorded in
history."""

high mountain which was a place of comfort and elegance and had springs of clear water in it.’
This was Kashmir. And this is why Maryam’s tomb is not to be found in Palestine, and they
claim that she too disappeared like Hadrat ‘Isa. How unjust it is of the ignorant Muslims to
believe that the ummah of the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is
devoid of the converse and discourse of God while at the same time they repeat the sayings [of
the Holy Prophet] that prove that among the ummah of the Holy Prophet, may peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him, there will be those who will resemble the Prophets of Israel, and
there will also be one who will be a Prophet in one aspect and an ummati [follower of the Holy
Prophet] in another! He would be the one who will be called the Promised Messiah."""

In spite of this belief, they know with full conviction that an Israelite Prophet did come to
Kashmir and that he introduced himself as the ‘Prince Prophet’. Their books relate that, on the
basis of calculation, a little more than 1,900 years have elapsed since that time. The simplicity of
the Kashmiris has here benefited us, for had they known who that ‘Prince Prophet’ from among
the Israelites was, and who the Prophet was who lived some 1,900 years ago, they would never
have shown these books to us. This is why I say that we have benefited greatly from their
simplicity. Besides, they say that the name of the Prince Prophet was ‘Yuz Asaf ’. This word
clearly appears to be the distortion of ‘Yasu Asaf ’. In Hebrew, ‘Asaf ’ refers to a person who is
in search of his people. Since Hadrat ‘Isa had arrived in Kashmir in search of his people who
were the missing tribes of Jews, he called himself ‘Yasu Asaf ’. Further, it is written clearly in
the scripture of Yuz Asaf that the Injil [Gospel] had been revealed to him by God. Thus, in the
presence of so many clear proofs, how is it possible to refute that Yuz Asaf is none other than
Hadrat ‘Isa, may peace be upon him? Otherwise, the onus of proof is on our opponents, to show
us who this person is, who called himself the Prince Prophet and whose time corresponds
perfectly with the time of Hadrat ‘Isa. We have also learnt that when Hadrat ‘Isa came to
Kashmir, he was mentioned by the Buddhists of that time in their scriptures.

Another potent argument for this is that God says:

ِ ‫ٰا َوي ْٰنهُ َم ۤا اِ ٰلى َر ْب َو ٍة َذا‬

ٍ ‫ت قَ َر‬
23:50 ,‫ار َّو َم ِعي ٍْن‬

Be mindful that the word ‫[ ٰا َوى‬awa] is used in Arabic when a person is given refuge from a
tribulation in a place that is a peaceful abode. That abode of peace cannot possibly be the land
of Sham, because the land of Sham was in the jurisdiction of the Caesar of Rome and Hadrat
‘Isa had been declared a rebel against Caesar. Therefore, it was indeed Kashmir, which was
similar to the land of Sham, and was a place of shelter—i.e. it was an abode of peace—meaning
that the Caesar of Rome had nothing to do with it."""

An Address of the Promised Messiah at the Farewell Gathering1

The Purpose of the Advent of the Promised Messiah

The Promised Messiah as states: “Authentic and definitive knowledge has been given to us in
the Holy Quran alluding to the fact that Jesus, peace be upon him, was taken down from the
cross alive and that he was saved from this calamity. However, it is a pity that over the last one
thousand years, where many other afflictions have appeared, this matter too fell into darkness,
and unfortunately, the notion became firmly rooted within the Muslims that the Messiah
as was lifted into the heavens alive and that he will descend from the sky when the Resurrection
approaches.

However, in this, the fourteenth century, Allah the Exalted sent me by way of divine appointment
so that I may dispel the errors that have taken root within the Muslims internally and manifest
the truth of Islam before the world. Furthermore, I have been sent to respond to the allegations
that are levelled against Islam externally and clearly demonstrate the reality of the other false
religions—particularly the religion of the cross, i.e. the Christian faith. I have been tasked to
uproot its erroneous doctrines, which are dangerous and harmful to the people, and which are a
hindrance to the nourishment and development of man’s spiritual faculties.

Footnote---

1 During the very days in which the Promised Messiah as was writing his book Jesus in India, it
came to light that certain relics of the Messiah of Nazareth as had been found in Nasibain
(situated in the Arab country of Iraq), which furnished evidence of the Messiah’s journey and
corroborated the fact that he settled in Kashmir. The Promised Messiah as deemed it advisable
to dispatch a commission or delegation to personally investigate and examine these relics and
the state of affairs, and then for the delegation to return to Qadian from the route on which the
Messiah journeyed to Kashmir. In order to see off this delegation and bid them farewell, an
event was arranged by the name of Jalsa Al- Wida (The Farewell Gathering). Due to certain
compelling circumstances, although the dispatch of this delegation was postponed, the event,
nonetheless, was held on the 12-14 November 1899, with great excitement and celebration. The
present address was delivered by the Promised Messiah as on this occasion.
The True Facts About Jesus as Son of Mary
From among these various beliefs, one concept relates to the Messiah ascending
into heaven—a notion, which unfortunately, even some Muslims have begun to
advocate. It is this very concept on which Christianity is based, because the foundation
on which salvation stands in Christianity is this very cross. The Christians believe that the
Messiah died on the cross for them, then he came back to life and ascended into heaven, this
being proof of His divinity.

Those Muslims who have supported the Christians erroneously do not believe that the Messiah
died on the cross, but they do believe that he was raised to heaven alive. However, the reality
which Allah Almighty has disclosed to me is that the Messiah son of Mary was tormented
severely at the hands of the Jews of his age, just as the truthful are tormented in their respective
times at the hands of foolish opponents. Ultimately, these very same Jews strove to somehow put
an end to him and kill him on the cross by way of conspiracy and mischief. It would appear that
they succeeded in their designs, because it was ordered that the Messiah son of Mary be put on
the cross. However, Allah the Exalted who never allows for His truthful and divinely
commissioned servants to be wasted, saved him from the curse that was necessitated by him
dying on the cross and gave rise to such means that he was taken down from the cross alive.

There are many arguments to this effect that are found in the very Gospel itself, but I do not
intend to mention them on this occasion. By studying the incidents that surround the crucifixion
according to the Gospel account, it becomes clearly evident that the Messiah son of Mary was
taken down from the cross alive. Then, since he had many enemies in his own land—enemies
who were thirsty for his blood—and since he had already stated that ‘a Prophet is not without
honour but in his own country,’ alluding to his migration, Jesus as decided to leave his
homeland. In order to fulfil the obligation of his ministry, he set out in search of the lost sheep of
the house of Israel. Passing through Nasibain, he arrived in Kashmir through Afghanistan, and
continued preaching to the Children of Israel who were settled in Kashmir. He reformed these
people and ultimately passed away whilst he was among them. This is the fact that has been
disclosed to me."""

Title: DISCOVERY OF THE GRAVE OF HAZRAT EISA

“”””Khalifa Noor uddin Jamooni relates to us that “once I was walking through Mohala
Khaniyar (Siri Nagar) that I saw an old man and an old woman (a couple) sitting at (beside) a
qabar (grave). I asked them whose grave it was? They told me that it is of a Nabi Sahib. And this
grave was famous as, grave of Yus Asif, Shehzada Nabi and peaghamber sahib. I asked them,
“where how a Nabi could come here from”. They told me this Nabi, many hundreds year ago
came from a very far land. I TOLD THIS TO MOULVI SAHIB (as you know that they were both

Allah tells us about His servant and Messenger `Isa bin Maryam, peace be upon them both, and
that He made them as a sign for mankind, i.e., definitive proof of His ability to do what He wills.
For He created Adam without a father or a mother, He created Hawwa' from a male without a
female, and He created `Isa from a female without a male, but He created the rest of mankind
from both male and female.

this matter is that which was reported by Al-`Awfi from Ibn `Abbas, who said;

(and We gave them refuge on a Rabwah, Dhat Qarar and Ma`in.) "Ma`in refers to running water,
and is the river of which Allah mentioned:

﴾ ‫ك َس ِر ۬يًّا‬
ِ َ‫﴿ قَ ۡد َج َع َل َرب ُِّك ت َۡحت‬

(your Lord has provided a water stream under you.)'' (19:24) Ad-Dahhak and Qatadah said;

﴾ ‫ار َو َم ِعي ۬ ٍن‬ ِ ‫﴿ إِلَ ٰى َر ۡب َو ۬ ٍة َذا‬

ٍ ۬ ‫ت قَ َر‬

(on a high ground, a place of rest, security and flowing streams.) refers to Jerusalem. This -- and
Allah knows best -- is the most apparent meaning, because it is mentio- ned in the other Ayah,
and parts of the Qur'an explain other parts, so it is more appropriate to interpret it by another
Ayah, then the Sahih Hadiths, then other reports.

Mai Mari da Ashtan (resting place of Mother Mary)
The primary book source for the association of the town of Muree with Mary is found in
the German estoric writer Holger Kersten's Jesus lebte in Indien (1982). This in turn was
drawn from Ahmadiyya writer Khwaja Nazir Ahmad's Jesus in Heaven and Earth (1952).

This belief is an addition to the teachings of the Ahmadiyya founder Mirza Ghulam Ahmad's
claims, based on his reading of various Hindu and Islamic sources that Jesus survived the
crucifixion, came to India and died and is buried in Kashmir. Combining local oral and written
accounts of one Yuz Asaf with the Acts of Thomas, Ahmad claimed that Jesus (whom he
identified with Yuz Asaf), Thomas the Apostle (held to be Jesus' twin brother), and their mother
Mary travelled to India, with Mary dying en route from Taxila at Muree and being buried
at Pindi Point there. These ideas were popularised to western audiences by Paul C.
Pappas in Jesus' Tomb in India: The Debate on His Death and Resurrection published by Jain
Publishing Company, 1991.

The name "Mai Mari da Ashtan" means, literally, the "resting place of Mother Mary", and the
site was venerated by Hindus, Muslims, and Christians locally; so much that when the British
tried to have the tomb demolished in 1916, to stop people visiting it (because at the time it was
next to a defence post built in 1898), public protest caused them to not proceed with the
demolition. The tomb itself was renovated in the 1950s through the efforts of an Ahmadiyya
leader Khwaja Nazir Ahmad, author of Jesus in Heaven and Earth. The defence post no longer
exists, and instead a television transmitter station, constructed for Pakistan Television
Corporation in 1968, stands on the point.

The Ahmadiya writer Khwaja Nazir Ahmad also claims that the very name of the town, Muree,
named Mari in the 19th century, is derived from the name Mary. However, mountaineer and
local historian Farakh Ahmed Khan disputed this in his history of Muree, stating that the name
"Mari" was simply the word for an enclosure of land, a dwelling area, akin to the similar Bengali
word.

The earliest British discovery of Murree, like many of the adjacent hill resorts in the
Galyat range of the Hazara region, was first made by Major James Abbott in 1847. Please
see Charles Allen Soldier Sahibs: The Men who made the North West Frontier London: Abacus
Books, 2001 p. 141, ISBN 0-349-11456-0; and Journals of Honoria Lawrence eds. J.Lawrence
and A. Widdiwis, London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1980 edition. For an account of Abbott's early
time in Hazara and founding of Abbottabad, see Omer Tarin and SD Najumddin, "Five Early
Military Graves in the Old Christian Cemetery, Abbottabad, Pakistan, 1853–1888", in The
Kipling Journal (ISSN 0023-1738) Vol 84, No 339, p.35-52.
