STEPAN-MILD® LSB 46.87 Primary Surfactant
AMPHOSOL® CDB Special 9.73 Secondary Surfactant
STEPAN-MILD® GCC 1.25 Thickener, Conditioning Agent
Sodium Chloride q.s. Viscosity Adjuster
Citric Acid q.s. pH Adjuster
Fragrance, Dye & Preservative q.s. Additives

Procedure 1. Add Deionized Water to a vessel equipped with mixing capabilities. Start mixing.
2. Add STEPAN-MILD® LSB and AMPHOSOL® CDB Special.
3. While mixing, add STEPAN-MILD® GCC. Continue mixing until homogenous.
4. Adjust viscosity and pH, if necessary.
5. Add Fragrance, Dye and Preservative.
Physical Appearance at 25ºC Clear liquid
Properties pH, as is 5.35–5.45
Viscosity at 25ºC, cps 11,000–13,000
Storage/ Freeze/thaw, 3 cycles Pass
Stability 1 month at 50ºC Pass
1 month at 4ºC Pass
1 month at 25ºC Pass
Instructions Apply product to wet hair. Lather and then rinse thoroughly. Repeat if desired.

Stepan surfactants used in this formulation. Other ingredients were not evaluated. For further
information on Stepan's BCI, visit www.stepan.com. Sulfate-free is defined as not containing
Alcohol sulfate or Alcohol ether sulfate as per INCI nomenclature. This definition does not include
the inorganic sulfates, e.g. Sodium sulfates, used as processing aids or formed as a residual,
impurity or by-product.
