The PEACE Paradigm

Paradigm Level One: The Basic Concept


In the 1983 movie, War Games, a NORAD supercomputer WOPR (War Operations Plan Response) is
designed to predict possible nuclear war outcomes and to win. It has control of all our nuclear missiles
and is moving toward their launch in what it thinks is a game. Challenged in a series of common games
by its designer, it finally learns the concepts of stalemate and futility. Then, cycling thru all its nuclear
war scenarios and discovering the further concept of mutually assured destruction (no winner), it finally
decides, “the only winning move is not to play”.

Paradigm Level Two: The Perceived “self”, “world”, and “universe”


In our current psychophysical realm of Earth-world, our civilization is crumbling from a host of outdated
institutions and causes. Various dominant politico-economic forces, largely under the control of an elite
relative few psychopaths, in their hubris and terrible desire for power and control, have been moving all
of life on earth toward a precipice of great suffering, darkness, and death. Among these forces are
outdated institutions and top-down political systems controlled by this gang of psychopathic thugs and
their underlings. Meanwhile, the masses of humanity are confused and bewildered as to how to
manage some semblance of positive change or otherwise to merely survive.

Within this chaos, certain individuals have spontaneously arrived at very similar bottom-up solutions.
Some of these individuals are realizing that the top-down schema simply does not work—whether
Monarchy (absolute or constitutional), Aristocracy, Oligarchy / Corporatocracy, Democracy, Republic, or
our current Inverted Totalitarian regime. Sensing that no person or group has the right to dominate,
enslave, or otherwise force others to accept their ideas, they have devised various bottom-up means of
working together in small groups to solve and manage their own lives thru cooperation, tolerance and
mutual accountability / responsibility.

Having seen that no central government is needed, and that equitable and effective decision-making
must occur at the local level, they proceed to ignore the claims of legitimacy of our “rulers” to whatever
extent appropriate and necessary to achieve positive change and maintain / regain freedom. Thus, an
inherent part of this process is to peacefully and non-violently avoid only those rules, regulations, laws,
covenants, and bureaucratic restrictions of the dominant and erstwhile prevailing “old system” as
needed to maintain a simple and peaceful life—in whatever level of genuine freedom can be created.

Paradigm Level Three: Reality Itself


On the most profound level, that of Reality Itself—which is Infinitely, Intrinsically and Inherently Prior to
self, other and world—attention is increasingly given or granted to That In Which self, other, world and
universe is conceived or is otherwise apparent. We are what we give our attention to—that to which we
consistently grant our attention. Source is prior to cause. Thus, the “causes” of all our difficulties are
subsumed by the one source: egoity, the false sense of separation, separateness, and separativeness. In
and of itself, this Earth world is a paradox of frustrating and maddening chaos, pain, and suffering
balanced by seductive beauty and occasional but fleeting pleasure. Attempting to make philosophy out
of it only deludes further and ends in inevitable death (“The problem with life is death.” —Adi Da)

The resolution of all questions is not in their answer but in the transcendence of the questioner (ego).
Thus, submission to That In Which all of this (world, self, other, universe) Appears brings Grace,
Transcendence of this awful source (ego), and Awakening into “It”, the Divine Domain of Eternal
Happiness, Absolute Peace, and Perfect Freedom—which Is (interestingly and delightfully) the Great
Context or very Consciousness within Which everything (self, world, universe) appears, or Reality Itself.

Therefore, the current dark, world-dominating forces should heed the ancient Aramaic written on the
wall at Belshazzar’s Feast, “Mene, Mene, Tekel Ufarseen!” (“Kingdom, Oh Kingdom, thy Days are
Numbered!”)

It is time to outlaw war. It is time for a Paradigm of Peace!
