Login Steps for MBA End Term exams

The examinations will be conducted online through SIS portal of IBS to be written from your respective
homes.

Students have to take examination via laptop/desktop with camera, and NOT on mobile phones.

It is the responsibility of student to arrange for a laptop/ desktop with camera in advance
with sufficient power / internet connectivity.
All students are required to join the exam at reporting time. STUDENTS WILL BE DENIED ACCESS TO JOIN
Google Meet & EXAM LINK 5 minutes after the exam scheduled start time.
However, ONLY the students who login for the exam “in time” & if they get disconnected due to
network / power issues, they can rejoin and start from where they have left.

Step 1
USE Google Chrome Browser ONLY for accessing exam URLs.
For EVERY Examination, Clear Cache memory & History in Google Chrome by following the steps given
below:
After opening Google Chrome, Click Ctrl + H,
In left panel, Click "Clear browsing data"
Go to Advanced tab, For Time range -select "All time" from drop down options.
Check all check-boxes by scrolling down and then click "Clear data"

Access any one URL at reporting time

Step 2

DO NOT LOGIN here. Click on anyone of the following links (in blue color)

then login using your SIS ‘UserID’ and ‘Password’.

Step 3

After login, student will see the following:

Google Meet

MCQs Exam

Descriptive Exam

First keep your ID card ready for identification (IBS issued Photo ID card)
Click on Google Meet
Switch on Camera, Mute Microphone.
Arrange the camera such that Invigilator can see the contents on your table where you are writing the
exam.

The students are required to show the surroundings of the their exam place in case the invigilators asks
for it

Wait for Invigilator to take attendance and when asked by the Invigilator, show your ID card.

In the meantime, read the INSTRUCTIONS once again


Please note giving attendance in Google meet and keeping the Google Meet on throughout the exam is
compulsory.

For MCQs format exam, if attendance in Google Meet is not given then, the MCQs answers will not be
considered and the student will be awarded zero in exam.

For the Descriptive format exam, if attendance in Google Meet is not given, and the single answer-pdf is
uploaded, it will not be evaluated and the student will be awarded zero in exam

Step 4

Please check your exam timetable to find the format of Exam for the course is MCQ or Descriptive
At Exam start time, click any ONE link “MCQs Exam” OR "Descriptive Exam"

The Exam link will be enabled ONLY at exam scheduled time and not before.

Instructions - MCQs Format Exam


1. Students must answer MCQs sequentially.
2. They must select their choice of answer to a MCQ before clicking NEXT button for moving to the
next MCQ.
3. Clicking the NEXT button will register your choice of answer for that MCQ and then following
MCQ will appear for answering.
4. If you do not wish to answer the MCQ, click Skip button and next MCQ will appear for answering
5. Students cannot go back to skipped question or change answers to previous questions.
6. There are no negative marks for wrong answers.

7. “SUBMIT EXAM PAPER” at the top right corner button should be clicked ONLY after you have
completed your exam and wish to exit & leave the Exam.

Clicking “SUBMIT EXAM PAPER” button earlier will result in your Exam being terminated and you
CANNOT write/login for exam again.

8. At the end of 2 HOURS, the access to SIS will STOP automatically and the MCQs exam will be
auto SUBMITTED.

9. During Examination time for students to raise any exam related issues, –the Exams Control room
Google Meet URL is:

10. After the exam, Students can report their issues / complaints through the following Google form
only:

No other form of communication will be considered valid.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS –MCQs Format Exam

11. All students must login at SIS by the REPORTING TIME to give their attendance in Google Meet.
In case a student fails to give attendance in Google Meet, the MCQs answers will not be
considered and the student will be awarded zero.

12. Students are required to keep the GOOGLE MEET window open THROUGHOUT the examination
to be clearly visible under bright light to Invigilators, and follow the instructions given by the
Invigilators during the exam.

13. The students are required to arrange the camera such that Invigilator can see the contents on
table where you are writing the exam.

The students are required to show the surroundings of their exam place in case the invigilator
asks for it.

14. Camera Settings: Students are required to disable “auto sleep” in the camera settings.
If the camera goes to sleep mode, they will held responsible for not been visible during the
exam time.

15. The students are not allowed to use headphones, earphones or any other ear plugs.

16. Students should regularly check the chat box for any instructions from Invigilators.

17. The end time of exam will be same, as given in the time table, for all students, irrespective of
when they start writing the exam.
18. Indicatively, the following acts will be considered as UNFAIR PRACTICE.:
a. Not giving attendance in Google meet exam.
b. Not being present throughout the exam in Google Meet
c. The face of the student not being visible in Google meet during the exam.

d. The student moving away from the front of the monitor/camera or leaving the seat after
the verification of the identity.
e. Student sitting under ill-lit situation, with face not clearly visible
f. Using or copying in any form – from paper, book, internet, mobile or taking help from
another person.
g. Students are seeing sideways during the exam duration.
h. Students calling or texting anyone on mobile or using chat box communication.
i. Students talking or discussing with anyone
j. Student reading the question aloud.
k. Students covering their mouth with hand while writing the exam
l. Students ears are NOT visible during the exam
m. Another person present in the room where the student is writing the exam

Instructions - Descriptive Format Exam


1. The exam is a “CLOSED book” exam.
2. Students are to answer the Questions ONLY in OFFLINE mode by writing on A4 paper. Keep
sufficient quantity of A4 papers in advance.
3. Answer to EACH Question must START on a SEPARATE sheet,

4. Write your Enrollment No., Date of Examination and the course title on the top of page. In the
next line, you must write “Answer to Q ( )” correctly & clearly. If wrong question no. is given,
the answer will be awarded zero.
5. And then start writing the answer below that.
6. For answering the next Question, take a fresh A4 sheet and follow the above process once
again.

7. Scan all the pages, Question-wise, (using abode scan) and save to ONE PDF file failing which
the answer-pdf will not be evaluated.

Title the single answer-PDF as per given format.


{Enrolment No.(FULL)_Course Abbreviation}
For example, the PDF title should be as follows:
for Management Control Systems (MCS) Course 19BSPHH01C3789_MCS

8. The end time of exam will be same, as given in the time table, for all students, irrespective of
when they start writing the exam.
9. An alarm will be enabled indicating last 5 minutes to exam

10. If a student continues to write after the exam scheduled close, he will be reported for unfair
practice.

11. The uploading Link will be available from start of exam till scheduled close of uploading time. It
will be disabled at the scheduled close of Uploading time. An alarm will be provided that
uploading link will be disabled in 5 minutes.

12. Inform the invigilator after uploading all answer-PDFs in SIS by writing in the chat box, take
permission of the Invigilator and leave the GOOGLE MEET.

13. During Examination time for students to raise any exam related issues, –the Exams Control room

15. The Reporting Time is 30 minutes prior to the Scheduled Exam Time.

All students must login at SIS by the REPORTING TIME to give their attendance in Google Meet.
In case a student fails to give attendance in Google Meet, and the answer-PDF if uploaded will
not be evaluated and the student will be awarded zero.

16. Use the 30 minutes of Reporting Time to read the instructions once again carefully.
17. Students are required to keep the GOOGLE MEET window open THROUGHOUT the examination
to be clearly visible under bright light to Invigilators, and follow the instructions given by the
Invigilators in the chat box during the exam.

18. The students are required to arrange the camera such that Invigilator can see the contents on
